“Amazing stay at Sunwing Kamala Beach”

We’ve just got back from a wonderful 7 night stay at Sunwing Kamala Beach, 4 Adults and 4 children (two families), we stayed in the Royal Pool Access Studios and they were definitely worth the extra $$. Straight out of the patio doors to your own sunloungers/ umbrella and hop into the pool. The rooms were really clean and cleaned daily whilst we were there. There’s plenty to keep the kids occupied in and around the hotel, three of the pools have decent waterslides and the others have small waterslides for younger kids/ toddlers. The swim up pool bar is great and the staff there Chay and Ta (to name a couple) we’re fantastic. From start to finish the front reception staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond to make our stay incredible. Renelyn was so helpful and attentive. We wanted to book a table at Number 6 on the Hill restaurant, she called the restaurant for us and booked us a really nice table. We also booked trips through reception and the day after our trips she would remember us and always ask how our trip was. The hotel itself is in a fantastic location, you can walk straight out the front of the hotel and you’re on Kamala Beach. Sunsets here are amazing. During the day we walked to the other end of the beach and explored the rocks etc. It’s a nice walk in the evening as well, some really nice little bars/ restaurants along the beach front where you can grab something to eat/ drink and watch the sunset. If you want to venture a little further, there is a taxi service that operates directly from the hotel, prices are very reasonable and you can book return trips where the driver will wait for you, or you can hop in a tuk tuk near the beach. We did a round trip from the hotel to Big Buddha, Wat Chalong and Phuket Old Town, our taxi driver gave us a meeting point and we could spend as long or as little time as we wanted to in each location. Super easy! Phi Phi island daytrip with Island Dream Exploration is another trip we did and would highly recommend. This was organised through the hotel. The crew on the boat were amazing. We really wanted to see elephants up close and did quite a lot of research into ethical sanctuary’s, we decided on Phuket Elephant Sanctuary in Paklok, a little further away (approx. 45 minutes), but definitely worth the extra travel. We booked directly online and just organised a taxi from the hotel where our driver again waited for us to return. I would 110% recommend Sunwing Kamala Beach and would definitely stay here again. Thanks Sunwing Kamala Beach for an incredible stay and truly fantastic holiday with memories made to last a lifetime!

This is the 2nd stay at this hotel, and we were happy to see several of the same staff still working there (Our first visit was 4 years ago just before covid). All staff are smiling and very friendly. Rooms and the whole area are very clean. The restaurant is serving very good food, and the staff is very nice. A special shoutout to Fon and Alyssa (and a few others) in the restaurant for the interraction and attention given to my 5y daughter. The Lollo and Bernie club is also very nice, and happy to see Yuyah and Joy still working there, always smiling and very welcoming with the children. I really hope i will be able to visit the hotel again in the future.

“Perfect Place for my 3 + year old Twin grandsons!”

I was looking for a child friendly resort as we were going to Thailand with my son and DIL and the twin sons. And I must agree with all the other reviewers that this is perfect for little ones. So glad we booked Sunwing . There was absolutely no trace of the terrible 3s Tantrums !! They had plenty to keep them occupied . The Happy Baby Studio rooms had all that the boys and we needed. Baby strollers, baby cots, High chair, toys . They even allowed us to take the strollers to the supermarket in the main town. Both rooms had a tray full of fruits. The room had a sit out facing the poolside. and a lockable gate. There were pools of varying depths and slides to suit all ages. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. The resort had all that one needed to keep the kids and adults entertained. TV room. Evening, there was a small band playing, The Beach is just 5 mins walk from the rooms. You have to walk thru the massage area near the gate that opens to vistas of the Ocean. The water was shallow and there were gentle waves. And on both sides you have plenty of eating places. If you have dinner at the resort kids meals are free with an adult. All the wait staff are very sweet and go out of the way to help. During the day the open hall seems a bit warm but plenty of fans around. The staff and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a night market close by. Also a Mini market within the resort. We took a taxi to a supermarket in the main town. The boys enjoyed viewing the underwater creatures. This resort is a good and safe place when you want to holiday with young children. Every evening there was a stunning sunset !
