Had a lovely stay. Certainly not luxury and you have to compromise on certain western standards, but we all loved it. Cheap, central to nightlife, on the river with a slide for fun. Monkeys every morning and five minute walk to the National Park. It’s a 60 minute drive to the lake where you can hire a long boat at the pier. Reception was expensive for taxis and trips, cheaper elsewhere. We paid 1000 baht for a taxi to the pier, reception wanted 1500 baht. ( £24 they wanted £36 ) Pool a massive bonus. If I could change one thing it would be the bedding, white always best for me.

“Khao Sok Amazing - Better options available”

What a funny little place! The most amazing surroundings, its own monkey troop… The rooms were very clean, although could benefit from a refurb. What a funny little place! The most amazing surroundings, its own monkey troop… The rooms were very clean, although could benefit from a refurb. The swimming pool was milky and not very well maintained. The biggest let down for us was the food as it was terrible! We only ate there on the first day and my wife and I were both sick. The food options in the village are AMAZING so don’t worry, just eat out of the hotel. The best bit about this place are the staff! Super friendly, willing to go above and beyond. I couldn’t recommend Khoa Sok highly enough! Simply so stunning, chilled and a fantastic alternative to the beaches.

“Fine but not for a holiday”

Room was fine aircon and bathroom was ok, great view out into the trees. They warn you monkeys will try to come in if you don’t lock doors, we saw evidence of them trying this on other rooms! Room was fine aircon and bathroom was ok, great view out into the trees. They warn you monkeys will try to come in if you don’t lock doors, we saw evidence of them trying this on other rooms! But didn’t experience any problems. Super close for national park, and also for the village with lots of food options and tour options. We wanted to book a one night lake tour and it was fully booked with the hotel but we booked easily with a desk just down the road so it seemed possible to wait till you arrive to book. They stored our bags for us whilst we went on our tour but just in a store room with food and things behind reception which was a bit smelly. Fairly large site, felt run down, slide into river out of service and generally construction stuff lying around etc, needs a tidy up, felt a bit unloved. For a nights stay for the national park fine, wouldn’t choose to holiday here for a longer stay. Breakfast was just ok, didn’t eat any evening meals here as some reviews had said not good.
