I came across Puerta Del Sol on hotels.com based on a price filter. It was advertising a studio apartment for my three night stay in Torremolinos for an unbeatable price. Whilst the reviews on here are minimal and not the best, I wanted to leave a fair review for this lovely little place. My flight was delayed and the reception was closed when I arrived. It was easy to find and a quick call to the number provided later had a staff member meet me in just a couple of minutes. I was welcomed and given the access and WiFi information and given directions to my room. The location of these apartments is absolutely fantastic. You could not be more central and it’s excellently located for all the nightlife (particularly the gay area) Torremolinos has to offer, less than 30 seconds walk from the train station. The building is part rental apartments and part owner apartments. It’s immaculately clean and well maintained and smelled lovely and clean. The lift took me to the 2nd floor where my apartment was located. My first impressions were how big it was. I paid for a studio apartment and that’s what I got, but it was bigger than my two bedroom flat at home! First things first, it smelled and looked immaculate. Extremely high standards of cleanliness throughout. One of the cleanest places I’ve ever rented. Everything I needed from towels, to cutlery to bottle openers, glasses, cups and toiletries was provided along wjth a nice clean memory foam mattress bed. The room had great WiFi and a flatscreen TV. Air con is provided though being March I didn’t need to use it. The fully fitted kitchen had a coffee machine, kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge freezer and washing machine. Plenty of kitchen ware and pans and even washin up liquid and cleaning cloths. I didn’t use the pool as it was out of season but I’d have had no problem in paying the small amount that they ask for had the weather been right for it. That said, you’re less than 5 mins from the beach! The previous reviews on this place are really detrimental and I don’t think that they are deserved. It’s a little noisy outside, but you’re bang in the middle of Torremolinos and that’s just how it is. Everything was silent by 11pm. I brought ear plugs as I’m a light sleeper and I didn’t even need them. If you want silence, find something out of the centre. I slept perfectly. I would have no problem staying here on my next trip to Torremolinos. I didn’t know what to expect but I was delightfully overwhelmed at just what great value this little place offers. You won’t get better for the same price in such a central location. In short, a really excellent stay and outstanding value for money. I highly recommend!!
