After reading other reviews I was a little worried, however we really enjoyed our 11 nights stay. We were in room 325 which had a pool view. The only issue we had with our room is the shower holder was loose. Everything else was fine and clean, we found the mattress quite comfy and had no problem sleeping. The food was varied, quite a lot of Tunisian food, which isn’t a problem, we found something to eat for breakfast, dinner and tea, the only problems we found were the waiters seem to take all the knives and forks off the tables so you are wandering round looking for them so just go to the cupboard in the corner and get your own. sometimes when you finish your food there are lots of waiters standing around doing nothing and they don’t take your plate away, the few times I saw them take the plates away were when there were new people come to the hotel and the waiters wanted to chat them up. The outdoor pool is very good, it’s large, cleaned every morning. We never had an issue getting a sunbed, a few people put towels on them but-there was no issue getting a sunbed 9 / 10am. The beach wasn’t fully opened when we were there, but it was ok, the hotel has a little free truck – bus which takes you down to the beach and brings you back. Wi-Fi is all over the hotel in the rooms around the pool. We didn’t have any problems with Wi-Fi. There is no safe in the room. I locked some things in my suitcase and never had any issue, there was no issues around the pool with things being stolen. People would leave room keys and phones on their sunbeds whilst in the pool. Nothing got stolen. I had an issue with the guy on the beach who runs the jet skis at Hua Mua. I paid, I waited 30 minutes and he then let another group go infront of me so I had a strop and took my money back, the trip guy who is based in the hotel found me another activity place further up the beach who came and fetched me in his truck and I went parasailing but I would not advise anyone going with this company hes very unprofessional and rude I found the female receptionist in the hotel not very good at her job, I was stood waiting ages to be served, Arabic people were coming up after me and she was serving them and ignoring me - so again I had a strop but it got me served. The location isn’t fantastic. There’s not much outside of the hotel to do, there’s the crocodile park and a good shop across the road. We did go into town but found the shop across the road cheaper The entertainment team were really good. There was lots to do throughout the day and the evening, we made the effort to introduce ourselves to animation and they did speak with us every day, my favourites were Kitty, Abdul, Bouchie and luftie, although Nutella did speak to us, it was only if she wanted us to do her activity or sell us something, whereas the other animators would say hi when passing asking if we were ok etc. We didn’t have our room cleaned everday as we don’t make a mess but every few days we would remove the sign off the door and the cleaner would clean the room, one time I had lost an item, she found it and left it for me - very honest. For what we paid we had a great holiday and would definitely go back. I’ve stayed in 5 star hotels paid much more then I did for this holiday and not enjoyed it as much as we did here.

“Good value for money”

The animation team are amazing and put so much effort into the different activities throughout the day and night and getting people involved. Caesar in particular was amazing and very knowledgeable. Great pool and facilities.

Well we had a great week here. You do get what you pay for - the rooms are a bit tires, some broken tiles repaired looked odd in the bathroom, but everything worked and was relatively clean. The towels and shower curtain always smelt lovely and towels were replaced regularly and room cleaned every day. We had a couple of things requiring repairs which were done quickly without fuss. beds are hard - but didn't bother me. Water has high mineral content so does come out tasting of salt. Basis shower which was a bit lose in the wall but you could get it in the right position and it worked well. They could really do with an information pack so you know where things are and what goes on - we never realised the bar on the reception floor was a thing until we left - could have watched the football. Food was good - they don't cater for english diets aside from chips and pizza but we loved the choice. What you don't know (and a pack would help) unless the reception tell you is that you can book a Tunisian and an Italian meal and get a 4 course dinner served - you need to book them and we really enjoyed them. Another thing they could fix is hooks/nails on the parasol poles - you could hang clothes and bags on these off the floor which gets wet from the pool, but not a game changer. The pool is great and in general they are cleaning everywhere and all the time. They have showers which didn't always work first thing but nice cold water to cool off came out. There is some soft tiling around the edges in places but it’s safe and clean. The gym was disappointing - no running machine - 3 bikes and a rowing machine don't really offer variety Wi-Fi is good Entertainment team work hard - some talk lots to you and some don't. And they are good at leaving you alone if you don't want to be involved. They do play music way too loud however - one evening they were playing music as you entered the restaurant - it was so loud you couldn't hear yourself talk as you ate. Bar staff are hit and miss but speak French (or at least try) and they warm to you. We had a garden facing room and were quite happy with that as if you need quiet in the afternoon on the pool side you will struggle as the music is loud. Saying that there was a club opposite which went on a few nights a week but it stopped at midnight. Think this has covered off everything we wanted to feedback - overall - you get what you pay for but we came away feeling that we got a really good deal and had a wonderful week.
