Yes, guests at Le Sultan Hammamet have highlighted that: Spectacular 2-week family vacation in Hammamet at this true gem and ultimate value-for-dollar resort. This full service and optional all-inclusive hotel features exceptional staff and guest services: Renovated facilities, beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, a private beach, an exceptional array of fresh, local and international food and drink options, a wide variety of on-site and nearby activities, and warm and accommodating Tunisian hospitality.
From arrival we were treated to 5-star service at reception, dining, bar, pool, tea house, gift shop and in the beautiful Hammam spa. Three expansive and rotating buffet meals are served daily in indoor/outdoor dining areas overlooking the sea that feature hot and cold bars, pizza/pasta bar, daily tagine and shakshuka, fresh local seafood, fruit, pressed juices, pâtisserie desserts, in addition to an outdoor afternoon snack bar serving crêpes, ice cream, waffles and paninis. À la carte Japanese and Mediterranean restaurants have impressive settings and serve fresh fish dishes. Bar service exists throughout indoor and outdoor spaces and serves local beer, wine, and liqueurs, a variety of international cocktails, quality coffee, and filtered water for rooms.
The spa offers traditional Hammam steam bath, body wraps, massage, and luxury facial treatments using olive-based products at affordable prices. An expansive infinity pool and sun bathing areas are oceanside, with a bar overlooking the blue waters where catamarans, diving lessons, SUPs and other water sports and a seaside indoor gym are available. A traditional Tunisian tea room offers late day mint tea, traditional coffee and hookah.
Staff are highly professional, wonderful with children and fluent in many languages including Arabic, French, English, German and Italian, among others.
Generous guest rooms are spotless and offer a menu of pillow options, international TV and local bath products. Seaside rooms have balconies with stunning views of the Mediterranean and inland rooms look out to mountains, palms and activity areas. Rooms at the north end of the complex catch the sunset to southwest.
Reasonably priced offsite excursions were available daily, and there is plenty to experience within an hour by car which can be arranged by hotel staff or accessed by taxi, including to historic Carthage (indoor museum currently closed for renovations), picturesque Sidi Bou Said, Tunis Medina, dromedary or ATV riding in surrounding mountains, 10km ride to the town of Nabeul with its famed Souk market, and walkable or $3USD taxi ride to the centre of Hammamet (2kms), where there you find plenty of outdoor cafés, tea houses and shopping the historic seaside bay and Medina areas. Many hotel guests raved about their 2 to 3 day excursion experiencing desert life in Berber villages and visiting the filming sites of Star Wars and Indiana Jones. Local markets and nearby tourist shops sell traditional olive wood, cotton, leather, ceramic and Jasmin products at a fraction of western prices.
A very special thanks to the various guest services teams for making the stay so memorable—Monder’s animated and wonderful service in the dining room, Mongi and team behind the main bar, the spa treatment team, and the ever engaging entertainment team of Hero, Sadok and Haykel who kept kids and parents enjoying themselves with a full schedule of games (poolside darts, ping pong, archery, in addition to on-site padel, tennis, an equestrian ranch with low-cost riding) as well as Omar and Slim for daily poolside wellness classes and evening entertainment which kept a wide array of adult and family groups socializing and entertained.
Local currency used in nearby shops, and tips for service are sincerely appreciated.
This is highly recommend hotel and resort in a country worthy of many return visits to experience its beautiful people, cultural traditions, food, many historical sites and stunning landscapes.
