Lovely hotel they've been around for 30 years but it is well maintained by current staff. The environment is very peaceful and you can relax with pools and a private beach. Most areas are understaffed unfortunately , the restaurant took 40minutes just to bring us our drinks and we were dreading ordering food so we left without food and stepped outside. The bar staff despite being understaffed work extra hard to provide excellent customer service. Mahrez was exceptional, very attentive and professional the way he would serve all the guests in the bar area without having anyone wait. Nawul at the front desk was very well spoken informative and kind with any enquiries. Overall lovely hotel and the staff do make this hotel run better however, more staff is needed especially with peak season around the corner.

We had a very enjoyable stay overall, but left feeling that this is a beautiful hotel charging luxury prices while too often delivering an experience that falls short of luxury standards. The positives first. The property itself is stunning, with beautiful architecture, lovely grounds, an excellent pool, direct access to the beach, and a wonderful setting on the Mediterranean. The staff were warm and friendly throughout our stay, and we genuinely enjoyed our time here. Unfortunately, several aspects of the experience didn’t match either the hotel’s five-star rating or the room rate (approximately CAD $500 per night). The biggest issue was the beach service. As many other reviewers have mentioned, it was extraordinarily slow. There appeared to be only one server looking after the entire beach area. On one occasion it took nearly an hour just to receive a menu, and another 90 minutes for a beer after ordering it. Every order seemed to take at least an hour. I actually felt sorry for the staff member, who was clearly working incredibly hard in the heat while trying to serve everyone. The hotel told us it was at full occupancy, which made it all the more surprising that such a popular area wasn’t better staffed. It’s frustrating as a guest, and honestly seems like a missed commercial opportunity for the hotel as well—we would happily have ordered much more if service had been timely. We were also surprised by the hotel’s policy on bottled water. The room is replenished with just one small bottle of water per day. After buying a few bottles at the nearby Carrefour, our grocery bags were inspected when we returned to the hotel and we were told we were only permitted to bring two bottles of water into the hotel. Restricting guests from bringing in something as basic as drinking water felt unnecessarily rigid and completely out of step with the level of hospitality you’d expect from a luxury property. The in-room amenities also felt underwhelming. The room was stocked with inexpensive instant coffee rather than coffee you’d expect in a five-star hotel, and no milk or creamer was provided. On its own that’s a small detail, but alongside the water policy and other service shortcomings, it contributed to the feeling that the guest experience wasn’t being considered at the level the hotel aspires to. Finally, on our first evening we asked about dinner and were simply told to arrive anytime between 7:00 and 10:30 p.m. When we arrived at 8:15, we were informed that rese
