We had a fantastic 9 day stay I brought my mum for her birthday along with my five year old who had a blast. Mary and her staff couldn’t have been more helpful anything we needed they went above and beyond to provide. Birthday cake balloons and banners Mary organised everything for my mum’s birthday. All the staff was lovely to us all absolutely couldn’t fault them. Great little self catering apartments with aircon cleaned every single day without fail. New towels and fresh bedding always provided. Nice family atmosphere. Unfortunately one family did create a little chaos but Mary was on it straight away! Five minute walk from the beach tons of activities to do and the food was great too! I honestly could write for days about our stay! “Great 2 weeks”

Lovely 2 week stay despite few days of bad weather. Basic room but more than adequate for us as we eat out . Had issue with kettle but new one brought straight away. Staff always helpful. Short walk to shops and beach.

We spent a week at Agar Apartments in Gumbet, Bodrum, opting for a self-catering setup. The apartment itself was basic but functional, though there were a couple of small issues. Accommodation & Facilities Cooking facilities were minimal—a two-ring portable hob and a kettle, nothing else not even a toaster. We requested twin beds but weren’t able to be accommodated, so one of us had to sleep on the couch, which wasn’t very comfortable. The bedroom had no air conditioning, making nights too warm. The balcony was tiny and situated above the bar, which meant noise carried on well past 2am most nights. Extra Charges There were several add-ons that felt overpriced: £5 per day for air conditioning, £15 per week for a security box at reception, and £30 for late checkout (which we paid as our departure wasn’t until 8pm). These extras felt like an easy profit rather than added value. Although they are optional. Cleanliness & Maintenance Cleaning was minimal—bins emptied and floors swept, with mopping every other day. Some maintenance issues were noticeable: a broken loo roll holder, a faulty plug, and a non-functional fire alarm. These are small fixes that could make a difference. Pool & Restaurant On the plus side, the pool and bar areas were lovely, though the pool was a bit chilly. The restaurant served delicious food and the waiting staff were friendly and attentive, which added warmth to our stay. Overall Experience Despite the hiccups, we had a nice time. The apartment was basic but decent, and the location gave us access to the charm of both Gumbet and Bodrum—two truly lovely places. With a few improvements, Agar Apartments could offer a more comfortable and enjoyable experience.
