The Mett Hotel Bodrum is absolutely fantastic, and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay! The loft rooms are incredible — beautifully designed, spacious, and just perfect in every way. A special thank you to Koray at breakfast, who was wonderful and made every morning such a pleasure. We also want to mention Alisan, the waiter at the beach; he was such a good guy, always friendly, attentive, and made our time by the sea even more enjoyable. We also loved the location — a taxi to the harbour took only 5 minutes, which was so convenient. One thing to note though is that the food and drinks are quite overpriced; for example, a bottle of lager costs 15 Euros. Overall though, every part of our experience was top-notch, and we’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bodrum!

This could be a great resort, but not yet. We were not warned that May 13-16 is out of season, and the only restaurant facilities were for breakfast and a light lunch by the pool. The bar and beach club is NOT open. The beach itself is tiny and cramped, and will not cope with guests when hotel is busy in season. It’s also not being cleaned, so both the beach and the adjacent sea are dirty. The outdoor and indoor pools are lovely, and away from the unsatisfactory beach, but it should not be necessary to leave the pool cleaning machine by and in the pool all day! Our only meal was breakfast, which was included in the room rate, and was acceptable. The only lunch meal we had was standard Caesar’s salad,which was fresh and adequate in size, but came with a sauce which was said to include anchovies, but there were otherwise no visible anchovies - which are the key to a good Caesar’s. It’s not difficult to toss in a few anchovies in with the salad leaves. Restaurant and wine prices very high! We are used to mark ups but a standard rose wine at seven times normal Uk retail is absurd! The room we were allocated was large - and we were advised we had been given an upgrade. It was a mid-range room, with a partial sea view, but which was largely obscured by an ugly back of the building which housed the breakfast restaurant and pool facilities. Despite its large room size it was surprising that the bathroom was a bit sparse. Good shower, no bath, one (not two) wash basins. Overall Adequately equipped, but our room felt rather barren. The positive was that all the staff we met were friendly and helpful, but we won’t be back until it’s more established.

It’s a beautiful hotel but no atmosphere and VERY slow service. Incredibly expensive food and drinks (eg. minimum €80 for a bottle of wine, €29 for a chicken wrap, €6 a soft drink, €6 water etc). Thankfully taxis are very cheap into town. Although they don’t have big seaters, so we had to get two taxis for 5people. The hotel is on a massive hill, it’s not possible to walk into the town/marina. There aren’t any nearby shops, you need to get a taxi. The hotel call them for you, it’s very quick. Requires improvement: - Service was very slow (eg. waited over an hour for a bottle of water, despite texting the WhatsApp concierge, as well as asking 2 members of staff). Had to keep asking for missing bits from breakfast every day etc. Drink orders weren’t always correct. - Breakfast is great if you like eggs, slightly limited for choice if you don’t. - Beachside or poolside service doesn’t start until the afternoon. My drink was taken away even though it wasn’t finished. - We were told repeatedly the season started the following week, which meant all the restaurants were closed, including the beach club (was not made aware at time of booking) - Not a full menu on offer- as they hadn’t received the full deliveries (eg no anchovies in Caesar salad or nachos available) - No water sports available (as advertised on the website) - Leftover underwear in the drawers from previous guests in our hotel room ( we only noticed this when checking out) - Construction next door is noisy and randomly blasted loud music every now and again - We were a 3 person room, but only 2 cups/glasses provided. Everyday they would deliver bottled water (but only 2 small bottles) despite there clearly being 3 adults in the room. Our flight was at 8pm. They wanted €100 to extend the room for two hours (until 2pm), which we declined. When checking out later that afternoon, they then told us they would give us a new room, which seemed slightly odd as then they would then have another room to clean? Positives: The spa facilities are very nice. The rooms were very clean (despite the leftover underwear). Nice robe and slippers in the room. Nice beach bag provided. We got a 40minute taxi to the hotel from the airport (£50) and booked a large private taxi (€60) on the way back which was better. Our driver recommended the titanic instead. We would recommend going to Buddha Bar for dinner. I would not recommend this hotel for children or anyone with accessibility requirements.
