Stayed at KADIKALE RESORT & SPA on May 17th, 2026, in room 438. Experienced timeless comfort along the Aegean Sea and immersed ourselves in wellness amidst pristine nature and pristine shorelines. We admired the beauty of the huge purple jacaranda tree in full bloom as we got out of the car. There, we saw the familiar face of Yılmaz—who serves as handyman and porter—coming out to greet us with a big smile. We have stayed at this resort several times in recent years for short vacations, except during the pandemic. Our sincere thanks go to the well-known Front Desk Manager, Hakan Şen, and his remarkable reception team. The resort has earned several hospitality accolades over the years. Even though it was fully booked on the day of our visit, with large tour buses arriving and departing, the check-in process was swift. I have written reviews praising their hospitality on several occasions. I am pleased to see the reception team has remained the same, and I truly appreciate that they recognize returning guests and make us feel so valued. The resort has a historic fortress on its grounds, which is worth the small climb up the hill to have a look around. Another highlight is the 250-year-old legendary tamarisk tree near the Patisserie. We had always enjoyed sitting under its shade while viewing the nearby islands. Gazel from Turkmenistan was making lovely Turkish coffee and serving customers at the patisserie. Yusuf Akın and Berat were very competent waiters in the main restaurant, even though they had only started working recently. The main restaurant offered an open buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We mostly enjoyed the freshly grilled sea bream, as it is a very tasty, healthy fish. There was also an à la carte restaurant, right on the beach serving some popular local dishes, which was open between 11:30 and 18:00. There were bars next to both of these restaurants. The majority of the waiting staff were recently employed. Only Umut remembered us and chatted at the breakfast buffet when I could not find the sour cherry compote I used to enjoy. The 5-star resort also features excellent shops, and we can personally vouch for their quality after visiting for many years. Mihrican, Ümit, and their three employees were incredibly helpful once again. We have also used the hairdressers in previous years and always find them very trendy. The resort has crystal-clear pools where children and adults are entertained with a variety of activities. There is also late evening entertainment in the amphitheatre, which we attended and found to be a lot of fun for the guests. The overall effect of the colorful bougainvillea trees, geranium plants, and vast open spaces was very pleasant. All the staff, including housekeeping, were working hard to give their best without fuss. The resort had a wonderfully restful atmosphere. Naturally, its 'home away from home' logo is well-justified."
