Our 8th return to this amazing hotel(Our 2nd home) Came with family this time. Had an amazing time seeing old friends, and meeting new. Cannot fault this friendly little hotel. Rooms are spotlessly clean, as is the rest of the hotel. Great food, always find something to eat. Gadget and Gizmo are the best. Every staff member, Bar staff, Pool man, Omelette man, Restaurant and Reception staff also cleaners go out of their way to make your holiday. Already booked to come back in May See you next year YEL xx

“Excellent and consistent”

This is the 3rd time I’ve stayed here. As usual the service was excellent right from the reception to the bar to the restaurant and including the excellent chef who cooks your omelettes, eggs and pancakes fresh in the mornings. And they do you a packed lunch so you can avoid expensive airport food costs. The hotel is for me in a very good condition and extremely clean which is testament to how hard the cleaners work. The cleaners are very polite and do their best to talk to the holiday makers when they get a chance, something which just seems to add that personal touch. The bar staff stood out a little bit more for me as they got involved with everything and everyone and were exceptionally polite friendly and accommodating. All the staff work very hard to keep up with the demands of various people. The food was consistently good. Always a choice, you certainly never went hungry or thirsty. Internet was available this time in my room all day everyday and was good, something I didn’t have the previous 2 trips. But you can’t leave a review without ever mentioning Gizmo and Gadget. These guys are great and have for me noticeably since they come on the scene helped improve the ratings on this site. Gizmo is a live wire but has a certain quality about him that everyone gets involved. No hassles with him if you’re tired etc but you can be sure of some fun. I had a great time and have booked to go back again. Thank you for the experience again Yel hotel. AAA+++ from me. All this review is only my opinion and how I enjoyed my holiday.

“Can't keep away.”

Another great holiday at Yel. Great staff led by owner Aysel who are all warm and friendly and nothing is too much bother. Entertainment team of Gadget, Gizmo and Elif are the best. Already booked for next June.

So nostalgia made me book here after having stayed in 2009 and 2012 but after the kids came along family rooms weren’t always available but now they’re older, we booked 2 rooms. For the majority things haven’t changed all that much bar a new entertainment area and the baby pool moved (not to the best location) but the rooms and surroundings still spotlessly clean albeit dated but that didn't bother us. Our check in was efficient but not warm or friendly in the slightest. We had booked pool view rooms and I guess we could see the pool if we stretched our necks to see it from one room, but the other did not. We were top floor in the block facing the restaurant with no balcony to speak of which was a shame. I had emailed the hotel to request the other side however this was ignored. The reason became apparent later in the week. No sunbed wars at this time of year thankfully but still beds reserved at silly o’clock - not a new phenomenon but if you can’t beat em, join em. Entertainment was ok. People raved on and on about the team…..one of them was definitely more friendly than the other and there were definite favourites around the pool - you know the type. One spoke to my husband but I might as well have been invisible. 80% of the guests here were smokers. Sitting at the bar at night was uncomfortable and at one point emerging through a cloud of someone else’s vape cloud was like an episode of stars in their eyes. Just gross. Food was good. We are not picky eaters generally and enjoyed the range on offer but my son is neurodivergent and really struggled. No kids choices (the beige stuff) to speak of but then the time of year was maybe why (no English kids holiday - just us Scots) Towards the end of our stay the hotel became very busy with what appeared to be a wedding party, Gossip around the pool told us that the Reception Manager was getting married. (Guess what block they were all staying in??) The quality of food suddenly went up 100% and the bar area was cleared to make way for the private party so there was nowhere for us holidaymakers to sit - cant sit on the balconies as they are too small so where were we supposed to go? The party began and the noise was unbelievable, unlike any of the other nights entertainment - we had thought at least it would end at 11pm like usual but it went well past that and my son was so distressed. I have absolutely no problem with any of the proceedings but at least a warning would have been nice so we could have made ourselves scarce for the night and avoided any meltdown. Would I come back? Probably not. In the 15 years of coming to this area it’s not the worst (Nicholas Park holds that award) and it is certainly value for money but the disregard for paying guests was disappointing. What I will say is that the waiting / bar / cleaning staff always had a smile on their faces and worked exceptionally hard - especially towards the end of the season where they must have been so tired.
