One of the most memorable family stays we’ve had — but it didn’t start that way... - First impressions (not great) We initially checked into a room that was very warm and uncomfortable. The air conditioning wasn’t effective due to a centralised system that was set to heating only until the summer season officially began in a weeks time from the day of our arrival, and when we contacted the front desk, we were told quite bluntly that nothing could be done The room phone and WiFi also wasn’t working, so we had no way to contact reception and had to physically go down, which added to the frustration. At that point, we were introduced to their AI assistant LUMIN and one of the guest relations managers sorted out our WiFi which actually made communication much easier moving forward and became our main way of resolving requests. After escalating the issue through customer care, things then changed quickly. 🌟 What completely turned the stay around The situation was handed over to Elena Olkhovska (Guest Relations Supervisor), and she was absolutely exceptional. ✔️ Took full ownership of our situation ✔️ Went above and beyond for our entire stay ✔️ Understood the time, effort, and cost that goes into a family holiday ✔️ Handled reservations, requests, and issues seamlessly ✔️ Even helped accommodate us when our second hotel booking didn’t work out She genuinely cared about our experience and made everything smooth from that point forward. As I said to her, we cannot find the words to truly thank her for all she has done for us during our day! She is a huge asset to both Rixos and the Accor group and deserves recognition as such! 👏 Also outstanding: Deniz Eriş (Holiday Assistant/guest relations agent) Deniz was equally fantastic. ✔️ Always checking what she could do to improve our stay ✔️ Available at all times via WhatsApp ✔️ Quick to resolve even the smallest issues A standout moment: > My bag was left on the shuttle to The Land of Legends Theme Park, and she ensured it was safely retrieved and stored until I could collect it. She also went above and beyond for our children — even arranging for ice cream to be made available to us at any time of day or night, free of charge, for our teething toddler which really shows attention to detail and dedication. 👉 Both Elena and Deniz completely transformed our stay. 🍽️ Food, facilities & overall experience ✔️ Food quality: Exceptional — some of the best we’ve had globally ✔️ individual chefs able to make food on request too at turquoise restaurant ✔️ very large selection of international foods available at the main buffet restaurant for all times of the day ✔️ À la carte restaurants: Beautiful venues, high-quality dining ✔️ Godiva Café: A real highlight, several stand out traditional made desserts and then those with a more local twist on them, also coffee and hot chooclate her was fantastic for all of us as a family ✔️ Kids club: Outstanding — caring staff, constantly changing activities ✔️ Cleanliness & maintenance: Impeccable ✔️ Access to Land of Legends: Huge added value (free shuttle, kids loved it) Our children stayed entertained for over a week and still didn’t get bored — which says everything. 💰 Value for money Although it may seem expensive at first, the ultra all-inclusive concept, à la carte dining, and access to Land of Legends make this excellent value overall. This stay has genuinely made us consider doing all-inclusive holidays more regularly and we may already be in the process of planning our next stay in April next year! ⚠️ Downsides (worth noting) Language barrier: Some staff don’t speak fluent English, which can occasionally come across as maybe a slightly rude tone or abrupt — likely due to miscommunication rather than intent Beds in some rooms: In rooms like the Superior Sea View Suite, the beds are quite firm → May not suit those who prefer memory foam or hybrid mattresses → To their credit, the hotel did try to resolve this by adding multiple soft toppers, but we still found it uncomfortable À la carte bookings: Can be busy and competitive (though Elena handled this for us) 🧳 Our overall perspective We came into this stay unsure about continuing with Accor, as we hold elite status with other programmes. 👉 But this experience — largely thanks to Elena and Deniz — has completely changed our view. We will absolutely be considering Rixos and Accor properties again for future family holidays. ✅ Who this is best for Families with young children Travellers considering ultra all-inclusive luxury Anyone wanting a resort with activities + external attractions included ⭐ Final verdict A rocky start, but ultimately one of the best and most memorable stays we’ve had anywhere in the world from the land of legends access, the absolutely divine a la carte options and quality of everything — and that turnaround is entirely down to the people.
