Booked last minute as a family of four with 2 children under 14 and we have constantly mentioned how great the place is. The staff, food and location have been fantastic throughout with special mention to Onur in the restaurant who is an absolute gentleman and looked out for and after us throughout the holiday, also special mention goes to Ibrahim the grill chef who's tasty treats we looked forward to every night, He is a master at his art and he is backed up by the rest of the food experience which has been top class with something for everyone. During the days the entertainment team are always engaging and really know how to get everyone involved, special mention here goes to Yunus who was always super friendly, helpful and polite, the whole ENTS team work so hard every day to build a fantastic vibe and my hat goes off to them. There is a great market shop and Turkish cafe attached that also provide a great service, special mention goes to Albert in the Cafe for looking after me especially. The rooms are well air conditioned and served their purpose although one of our single beds for the kids was really a chaise longue(our only issue). The clientele of the hotel tended to be mostly eastern European however everyone is made welcome and didnt detract from the experience. The surroundings are fantastic, close to the beach and areas of natural beauty, and includes some lovely wooded areas that provide some great shaded spots around the hotel complex. Would definitely return to this resort. Thanks again to Onur, Ibrahim, Yunus and Albert although the whole team, bar staff, restaurant staff, cleaners etc were also fantastic! Our family of four (two adults and two kids aged 6 and 8) had an amazing stay at Armas Kaplan Hotel, and we would love to return! The hotel offers a wonderful balance of relaxation and entertainment, making it perfect for families. Here’s our detailed review with some small suggestions for improvement. 1. Territory & Ambience The hotel’s territory is absolutely stunning—lush greenery, plenty of natural shade, and a cozy garden with swings and a coffee point. It’s a paradise for both kids and adults who want to relax. However, we’d suggest either banning smoking in the garden or creating a designated smoking area, as children often play there, and the smell of cigarettes can be unpleasant when trying to unwind. 2. Food & Main Restaurant The variety and quality of food were excellent! Multiple dining spots offered delicious meals, and we never got bored with the options. However, we noticed that many dishes were quite spicy without any warning labels. Since our kids (and some adults with sensitive stomachs) couldn’t eat them, it would be great if spicy dishes were marked or reduced in number. Another small issue was the limited air-conditioned seating in the main restaurant. Most tables were outside, where the heat, kitchen smells (especially from the grill and fryer), and lack of breeze made dining a bit uncomfortable at times. Improving ventilation or expanding the indoor dining area would be a great upgrade. 3. Rooms & Service First of all, a huge thank you to the staff—they were responsive, friendly, and always tried to help! However, the rooms and facilities are quite outdated. Our fridge barely worked, and despite multiple requests, we realized most of them were just old and inefficient. Housekeeping was decent (rated 3/5), but we sometimes had to remind them to change towels and bedding. Wi-Fi was very weak, working only near the main building. A helpful tip: connect to the neighboring hotel’s free Wi-Fi (available near the coffee-point garden), which was much faster! We’d love to see better internet coverage, especially near the beach. 4. Entertainment & Activities The animation team was outstanding—they put their hearts into making sure both kids and adults had fun! Our children loved the activities, but we’d suggest more variety in kids' games, like treasure hunts or interactive quests around the hotel. Also, it’s strange that there are adult activities on the beach but almost none for kids—a big shaded play area with games would be a fantastic addition! 5. Beach Experience The beach is spacious, with plenty of sunbeds, and the shuttle service was very convenient (just a 1-minute ride or a 10-minute shaded walk). The beachside food stations were a nice touch, but standing under the scorching sun in line for 15 minutes wasn’t pleasant—some shade would help! The sea entrance was challenging—large pebbles and rocks made walking difficult, and water shoes are a must. Also, in the afternoon, foam/dirt patches (likely from party boats) washed up near the shore. A small warning sign about the rocky entrance would be helpful for first-time visitors. Final Thoughts Despite minor drawbacks, we had a fantastic time and highly recommend Armas Kaplan for families! With a few improvements (better Wi-Fi, updated rooms, more shade, and kid-friendly beach activities), this hotel could be perfect. Thank you for a memorable vacation—we hope to return soon!
