Let’s start with the location: the distance to the beach is quite small, and the walk there is actually nice. However, there is still a distance, and you don’t get a sea view from any of the rooms. On the bright side, we really appreciated that they offered popcorn and had a juice bar directly on the beach, which was a great plus. Regarding the food, it’s good, tasty, and there’s enough variety. Still, in the outside part of the restaurant you could see a few little bugs walking around, and the juice area looked a bit questionable and not very sterile. The rooms are okay, good enough to stay comfortably for five days or even a full week. Our air conditioner didn’t really work at first; we called someone to fix it, and although we contacted them one day, they only came the next. But they did eventually fix it. Now for the less pleasant part: the staff wasn’t very friendly. Also, the waiters tended to take your plate away before you even finished, without asking if they could clear it, which was quite uncomfortable. Outside, you can see water slides, which looks like a huge advantage at first. But don’t be fooled, the slides are not functional, because there’s no water running on them, so you simply cannot use them. However, we did enjoy some of the entertainment. There was a great foam party at the pool and music every night. Our only complaint here is that the music playlist should cater to all the nationalities visiting the hotel; since the vast majority of the songs played were Russian, it felt a bit alienating for other tourists. That being said, we still kind of appreciated the entertainment efforts. In conclusion, Kemer Dream Hotel is a mediocre hotel. If you want good food, appreciate beach snacks and parties, and you don’t mind average conditions and not-so-friendly staff, it might work for you. But if you’re thinking of booking it mainly because of the water slides (like we did), don’t, they’re not functional at all.
