We recently returned from Alarcha Hotels & Resort. Overall, the impression was really good. The hotel itself was clean and well maintained, and the territory is quite small and compact. The rooms were cleaned every day, and the towels were changed daily as well. The bed linen was either changed only once or not changed at all, but it didn’t bother us since we didn’t manage to get it dirty anyway 😀 The pools are not heated. The food was tasty and varied — the selection changed slightly every day, so there was always something to eat. The snack bar by the pool was a bit more limited: for burgers, you only got a bun with meat, and you had to add vegetables, salad, and sauces yourself. They also served pasta and fries. There was also a coffee zone where they prepared proper coffee made from coffee beans. Desserts were available there from around 10:30 to 16:00. Coffee was available for a longer period, roughly from 10:00 to 23:00. At first, in the first few days, the ice cream was pre-packaged (store-bought). Later on, they started serving it in waffle cones, but there were only two flavors — vanilla and chocolate. If anyone is interested in cocktails — the alcoholic ones were quite weak and very sweet at first, you could barely taste the alcohol. However, after tipping the bartenders €5–10, they started making much better drinks. Overall, the cocktails were tasty and made with imported alcohol. We mostly visited the bar on the -1 floor, so I can’t say much about the others. The non-alcoholic cocktails were also very sweet and syrupy. We never actually visited the beach, but from what we heard from others, it’s rocky. Many people praised the pizzas baked there 😀 The staff didn’t pay too much attention to guests — everyone mostly seemed busy with their own tasks. There were also a couple of not very pleasant waiters; when we asked for tea, they rolled their eyes, which almost made you feel guilty for asking 😀 It definitely didn’t ruin the holiday, just felt a bit strange because in other hotels the staff are usually friendlier, smile more, and interact with guests more often. The Wi-Fi worked very well both in the rooms and by the pool. The evening entertainment changed every night, and there were always enough places to sit. Since the evenings were cool, there weren’t too many people around. After the evening shows, there were usually DJs or singers performing until around 11 PM. Across the street from the hotel there is a small bazaar, and about 3 km away there’s a large market. We took a taxi there, which cost around €7. We got our room immediately upon arrival. Since we were traveling with a child, we received a double room with a double bed and a playpen for the child. The wardrobe was only about 70 cm wide with just six hangers, so living out of a suitcase was quite inconvenient. The minibar was refilled every day with Coca-Cola, Fanta, a small beer, and water. We probably wouldn’t return again, but overall everything was really good — there wasn’t anything seriously bad that would ruin the vacation.
