We arrived for May half term. Myself, my wife and my 10-year-old son were checking the reviews prior to arrival and were pretty nervous about the whole thing. After around two days we realised that the negative comments were not a true reflection on the hotel. Along with us we met family out there equalling the total party to 27 people, from start to finish we had an absolute blast. Starting with the rooms themselves, we upgraded on arrival and paid €50 for a sea/pool view room. This was worth the money as the views from our balcony were brilliant. The hotel itself upon arrival, felt very clean, looked after and modern. The people working within the hotel lobby were very helpful when asked for advice, the cleaners were brilliant too, they kept our room very very clean and we made sure that we tipped them on average around 2 to €3 per day Food wise, this is what seem to have the worst reviews and upon attending the main restaurant, burger land, and the food courts over on the island. I can honestly say that this can’t be far from the truth. The main restaurant itself had a lot on offer however with a more traditional feel this included a lot of Turkish and European dishes. Burger land was exactly what it described itself as and offered fresh salads, burgers and pizza cooked fresh. The bread found in burger land for the buns, et cetera was delicious and very very fresh. The food courts were my favourite spot, this included variety of different foods with kebabs, pizza, baguettes, toasties, fried chicken and many more options. All inclusive, again prior to arrival the reviewed were very mixed. We were confused as to what was included and what wasn’t included before arriving at the hotel. I can confirm that there are a mixture of different drinks available within the all-inclusive however like many hotels that I’ve stayed up before they do offer premium drinks and cocktails at an extra charge, a lot of people moan about this however in the past 24 years of me travelling on holiday I have found that this is a very common practice. The one thing I would probably say to look out for is the excursions, the excursions that we did were the jeep Safari, a trip to land of Legends and watersports. I can honestly say that the day of the jeep Safari it also included a boat trip and a foam party, was absolutely brilliant and wow worth the money. The trip to land of Legends however, let us down a lot as we were picked up at 5:30 in the evening drove just over an hour to land of Legends and charge €215 to only stay there for 2 1/2 hours. There was a show and plenty of shopping to be done however I wouldn’t recommend this and wouldn’t return unless it included a day ticket. The watersports, again like everywhere I have been to can be found on the beach and the guys there looked to sell different experiences that you can try out of our party. Eight of them chose to go on an inflatable bed which was pulled along by the speedboat, they had so much fun. Summary and overall writing of this hotel, I would honestly give it a five star review everything included unlisted above. I was more than happy with and for the Price. I paid for two adults and one child during the half term break I would absolutely return.. Space. The only recommendation I would give to people is that there are opportunities to spend money on other things such as shops on the Island snacks on the Island snacks in the hotel, etc. If you choose to pay for additional things such as these, then you are going to spend a lot more than probably anticipated however overall, from the money that I spent personally and the money included within the holiday I am more than happy to recommend this hotel to anyone. We stayed at Eftalia Ocean as a group of 3 adults and 4 children and overall had a very enjoyable holiday. The hotel is beautiful, although you can slowly start to see its age in some areas and a lack of proper maintenance. Pros: * Great location. * Pleasant fragrance throughout the hotel. * Large family rooms, although the standard balcony view was disappointing. We were offered a better view for an extra €50, but in our opinion it was not worth the additional cost. * Mini bar included in the all-inclusive package. * A local street market takes place every Sunday right next to the hotel. * Nice small town nearby for walking around. * Excellent pools, water park, and gym. * Very good food available 24/7. * Fantastic pastry shop included in the all-inclusive package, with delicious cakes and desserts. * High standards of cleanliness. * Friendly and hardworking staff. * The beach area is great, and the Eftalia Island complex included in the all-inclusive package offers an additional water park, restaurants, disco, and foam parties twice a week. * Hotel shops have reasonable prices and friendly service. Cons: * The kids’ club was rather disappointing. * Ice cream was only available between 12:00 and 14:00. * Alcoholic drinks included in the all-inclusive package were of fairly low quality. * Tennis courts are available, but you need to bring your own racket. * Water sports were very expensive-more expensive that in Dubai. * Entertainment and animation programs could be much better.Loud music by main swimming pool but bad quality from old speakers. * It was difficult to find sunbeds around the main pool during busy times. * The hotel is quite expensive. If the price were lower, we would definitely consider returning. * It is far from Antalya Airport, around a 1 hour 40 minute drive. A taxi costs approximately €80 each way. * The term “Ultra All Inclusive” is confusing, as we did not notice any significant difference compared to a standard all-inclusive package. Overall, we had a very good stay and made some wonderful family memories. However, considering the price, there may be better-value hotels in the area. Still, Eftalia Ocean offers plenty of facilities, good food, and a fun atmosphere for families with children.

We visited Eftalia Ocean during half term. The hotel is amazing with gorgeous views from our room. We had read reviews that the food wasnt great, however, our experience was amazing, the grill had freshly cooked meats, our fave was the doner kebabs. Other foods were freshly cooked pizza, Turkish dishes, sushi, salads, gorgeous desserts. I would also recommend visiting Blue Beach restaurant and London Eye pub... they are both bloody gorgeous. The only let down for the hotel was all the additional costs, the pub by the burger bar you had to pay for drinks, 7 euros for a can, the island costs a fortune, theres the all inclusive bars and food throughout the day. However for the party night, the bar where the event was held you had to pay for drinks, even though theres a free bar 100yds away... just made no sense. There are various stands which serve waffle/milkshakes which again you had to pay for. The zip line/scooters and various other activities were at an additional cost. The atmosphere during the festival was amazing in the hotel with a huge amount of effort put in to entertain guests, the amphitheatre was brilliant. We loved Mr Bubbles. We thought it would be rubbish when we first saw the act, but its honestly one of the best entertainment acts we've ever seen. The hotel is kept clean, majority of staff were friendly. Animation team were fun and played a couple of games during the day with kids. The slides are amazing, and lovely pools to relax by... howver you are constantly approached by people selling cocktails/spa packages and photoshoots. Dont get trapped into paying for bingo. 72 euros for 4 tickets, when we said we didnt want them, the activities guy became confrontational. The hotel evening entertainment is better at Eftalia Aqua, with a stage all set up, they have BMXers, DJ, singers. All in all its a fab hotel, however we just didnt expect everything to cost so much, the drinks package is basic, with everything else an additional cost, when you've paid alot of money to stay at the resort its frustrating. The last thing I will mention is dont ask for a wakeup call from reception, we never got one after requesting one, its a good job our alarms went off at 3am otherwise we wouldve missed our flight.
