“Great experience”

This is our first time in turkey and staying at Arcanus. The hotel is fantastic and the staff are very friendly and welcoming, special shoutout to Murat and Memmet who went above and beyond. Our room was cleaned each morning by house keeping with fresh towels and toilet roll stocked up each day. The animation team, especially eddy, anil and bob were fantastic and made sure everyone had a great time. We enjoyed playing darts, Fanta sprite cola and tug of war. Berkay of guest relations was very helpful and friendly. There was an incident where I used the women’s toilets next to the main restaurant and the toilet roll holder (made out of metal) was sticking out more than what it should have been and the sharp side cut my thigh and I was instantly bruised and bleeding. I notified front lobby and they called the on site doctor and told me to get seen to. The nurse put anti septic on me and bandaged my thigh and a member of guest relations apologised, all was handled quickly and professionally so thank you. Plenty of food options to choose from and the Al e carte restaurants are amazing. My only criticism is larger groups of people were receiving table service for drinks however I found that we were overlooked as a couple, this was fine as we were able to order our own drinks at the bar but providing this feedback for possible improvement in future. definitely will be staying at Arcanus again. Plently of taxis outside of hotel to go to the local markets

Place was amazing , ultra all inclusive had great service from all staff but berkay from guest relations stood out the most always spending time to make sure everything was going good and checking if there was anymore he can do, highly recommend the place

The hotel itself was fantastic. Very modern, open spaced environment. Always had sunbed available, pool was never overly populated at any given time and the many bars, shops and restaurants available was fantastic! However, my fault begins with the staff. Now, most of the staff were amazing, we had a fantastic waitress on an evening for our meal, always attentive, never letting our glasses go empty. Majority of the bar staff were also fantastic, quick and making 'special' drinks (cocktails) as a way to have a different drink each time. Some of the staff behind the bars were arrogant *****. Some did not listen at all (even when ordering in as close to Turkish as possible). There were 2 in particular, one who usually ran the nightclub (passion), and one in the outside entertainment bar who would constantly ask to see my wristband, even after ordering drinks from them many times, drinking shots Infront of them and even with them, yes with them. I myself am all for ensuring that we are wearing the correct wristbands at all times, and challenging ages however it began to become a bit annoying, offensive and outright obscene that I was getting asked this by the same 2 every time I was going for a drink. (I'm 24, 6ft1, 110kg bloke. Covered in tattoos) By the end of the holiday, I did not even bother asking for alcohol anymore as it was actually starting to p*** me the f*** off. It was exactly the same in the bar where the entertainment happened. Not a single other bar tender, mixologist or waiter/tress did this. So either, the staff were being awkward, annoying, not paying attention or all of the above. On several occasions however, I did witness them serving minors (who had either covered their wrist band, or flipped it inside out). I did not even have a problem outside the hotel in bars and restaurants, so I'm going to put it down to them certain staff were being ars*h*les. Food was also another factor, majority of it was fantastic, but on serval occasions meat was undercooked, food was poor in quality and I had be given dirty glasses whilst eating my meal. But, as I say, the majority of the food was fantastic! Rooms were cleaned on a daily basis, however when I had the DND sign on the door, the cleaners would take it off, opened the door anyway. I had to hold my tongue 3 times with them as they'd done this. Hotel is rural. Me and my partner did walk from the hotel up to the outlet (15 mins away) and to Side (50-75 mins away) many times during our trip. But we enjoy walking so it's no issue there (for us anyway). Some of the staff that walk around offering services were a bit pushy with myself, having to tell them to leave after a few minutes of them pushing, and me telling them "no". No ATM in the hotel, nearest one around 15-20 minutes way (walking) Entertainment was poor for around 2/3 of our stay. 14 days and only 3 nights were decent - Illusionist, Acrobats and magician (we also participated in a quiz when it was raining, which was fun, but they gave us no choice in the matter. Rest of the time it was 'live music' with a singer, pianist and bass guitar. Neither of those instrument were played, faking the performance. With these shows only lasing an hour on average. Beach access from the hotel, 2 mins walk from door at the back of hotel. Which also included water activities (I went on jet ski, expensive but fun - photographer at the water activities also pushy to buy photos after spending a fortune on the activity.) In summary, the hotel was nice, with the possibility of return, but only for 7 days. I really did enjoy mytime at Arcanus, but selected staff were an issue which really did annoy me (never had a issue before in any hotel in Turkey) deffo not a 5* Plus, would rate as a 4 in my personal opinion.
