We have just returned from our second visit to Barut Goia and it didn't disappoint. The food in the buffet restaurant was great and in both a la carte restaurants too. Great choice and high quality. There were plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas available until mid morning most days. The only day it was really busy at the pool was on a Friday when they have the foam party in the afternoon. Our children loved the mocktails and the waffles by the pool. Our younger children (aged 8 & 9) really enjoyed the pizza making at the kids club. The only potential improvement to the children's activities would be to split to football matches into different time slots. My 9 year old played with much older teenagers some days and it wasn't ideal for him or them. Some hotels we have stayed at have split it to under 12s and over 12s and this worked well. The entertainment team were fantastic, especially Cehan (Shake Shake Man). He creates a brilliant atmosphere from wishing everyone good morning right through the day and the evening shows. He always has a smile on his face and is such an asset to the hotel. The evening shows were great, in particular the Michael Jackson show which was spectacular! The rooms and pool side were clean and there were always plenty of clean beach towels available from the spa. The staff in this hotel are fantastic and they really make your holiday special. The staff in the spa are so friendly and helpful, all the waiting staff and bar staff are attentive and go out of their way to remember the guests' favourite drinks. The staff work so hard and are always polite and friendly. The few minor issues we had during our stay were quickly resolved by guest relations. Most of the other guests were lovely families, and our children made some great holiday friends. Special mentions to Merve and Goktuk in the buffet restaurant. Yunis in Fely restaurant. Begy and Yasmin in kids club. Latif, Nisa, Okan, Ibrahim & Senora at the bar. The porters who helped with luggage, the waitresses in the coffee bar and Fatma on the waffle stand. All of the staff were amazing but these staff members really went above and beyond and made our holiday so special. Esma & Mr Bean in the hairdressers are excellent and so friendly. My daughter can't wait to go back next year to have more hair braids from Esma. My husband said that the haircut he got from Mr Bean was the best he has ever had. We would highly recommend this hotel and hope to visit again.

“All inclusive holiday in Side”

Our third time here and as always a brilliant holiday! Cihan, Anastasia, Christina and ALL wonderful,caring and pragmatic life guards made the whole two weeks great. Thank you all and see you again soon!

“A Nice Stay - a couple of improvements needed.”

We recently stayed at Barut Goia with our 8‑year‑old son to celebrate our 10‑year wedding anniversary. It was our first time choosing a 5‑star hotel as a family, and overall we had a lovely stay. - Food: Excellent throughout the hotel. My husband especially enjoyed the daily salmon. All the drinks are good too. - Family Activities: Our son loved the water slides and spent a couple of hours in the kids’ club which he enjoyed. The mini disco was a real hit — the staff running it were warm, enthusiastic, and clearly love what they do. - Facilities: The underground shopping area is brilliant and very convenient, acting as a tunnel between both sides of the hotel. It includes a mini‑market, shoe and bag shops, an arcade, spa, and gym.   - Reception Staff: Outstanding service. They helped us book a taxi and reserve a table at the Nemo Restaurant at Land of Legends. We travel quite a bit, and while we never expect anyone to speak English, the male receptionist deserves real credit — his English was exceptional, so much so that we found ourselves assuming he must have spent time living in England. - Housekeeping: This was unfortunately the biggest disappointment of our stay, as the housekeeping felt very minimal. On arrival, our son’s bed hadn’t been made, which was surprising for a 5‑star hotel. My husband had arranged for an anniversary cake to be delivered to our room — it was delicious — but despite leaving the plate on the side with our used cups, housekeeping left the plate untouched on two separate days. They took the cups but kept leaving the plate behind. In the end, we had to dispose of it ourselves to avoid attracting bugs. On top of this, the shampoo and shower gel were not replenished and were only replaced once we left the empty bottles on the used towels. - À la Carte Restaurants: These didn’t meet 5‑star expectations. Much of the food, whilst good, was similar to what was available in the buffet, and Oleas Kitchen menu was almost identical to the lunchtime offering. We also felt rushed, with plates taken before we had finished. Overall Barut Goia is a lovely family hotel, and we enjoyed many aspects of our stay. However, due to the issues with housekeeping and the à la carte restaurants, we feel it is more accurately a 4‑star hotel rather than a 5‑star experience. The Local Area: We used the Get Your Guide app to book a Jeep Safari and a Pirate Ship excursion, and both experiences were brilliant. Booking through this app is half the price of booking through Jet2. We grabbed a taxi to The Land of Legends shopping district. The highlight was Nemo Restaurant, where the atmosphere and food were genuinely impressive. We explored Side Old Town twice — once in daylight and once in the evening. If you go, make sure you visit at sunset. The ruins glowing beneath your feet after dark are something special. A quick tip: Most places prefer to be paid in Euro rather than Lira. We only took Lira and ended up being charged more for using it.

We stayed at this hotel for 11 nights at the end of July. The first week was wonderful, the second part of the holiday had a few disappointing moments. Firstly, the room we had - 1018 - was exactly what we wanted, a poolside room close to the water slides and on the ‘noisy’ side of the hotel. One of the reasons we booked here was the standard rooms have a separate bedroom which meant not having to share a room with our 8 year old daughter (great for her and us!!) bed was comfy, aircon effective, shower nice and powerful and the location of the room perfect. We were able to roll out of bed when we woke up and in the first week we got sun beds very close to the room and we could nip in and out when needed. Sadly during week 2 the sun bed situation was more tricky - to be expected I guess when more people and large groups arrived. I got up one morning at 7am and there were not many beds left! The room was very clean when we arrived but I have to say I was a little disappointed with the quality of cleaning when we were there, I noticed a small plastic tube on the bathroom floor just behind the door on day 2, it was still there 11 days later. The food during the first week was delicious, the best we have had in an all inclusive. We had 2 great meals at both al a carts which were easy to book into via WhatsApp at 9am on the day you want it. Unfortunately the second week (where the hotel was much busier) the quality of the food was not as good. In the buffet the hot food was not as hot, there seemed to be less care and attention paid which is a shame. We had 2 further meals at the al a carts and sadly they just were not as good as the first week. Staff, were great, I had an unexpected job interview during the holiday and the guest relations team went out of their way to try and help me find somewhere suitable to have a 2 hour online interview. I got the job! There were tip boxes around the hotel and in the restaurants, we were told on the last day by a member of staff in the buffet restaurant that the money that goes in those boxes only go to management - if true this is very disappointing. We had been putting tips in the boxes assuming it would be shared by the team working in that area. Kids club was great, my daughter loved Jasmine who does a brilliant job. Entertainment was good, being very critical, there seemed to be a lot of dance shows and it wouldn’t hurt to mix it up a little bit more. The live music by “the Drifters” one night was absolutely brilliant. Loved the foam party! Would we come back? Yes but not during the main school holidays.
