A good 'proper' 5* hotel. All staff can be commended on their excellent service. A magnificent choice of drinks and several dining options make this hotel stand out from the rest. I'm not sure if the fire pits and heaters quite work for me in the evenings at the pool bar...but it was different! The only slight negative was the Lobby bar hot drinks machine. It wasn't hot! Slightly warm at a push. In fact the bar man spent several minutes stirring a hot chocolate as it struggled to dissolve because it wasn't hot enough. Luckily, I had a beer, which was spot on!

“Excellent hotel overall”

This was our 2nd visit to the hotel and we really enjoyed our time there. The hotel and grounds are really well maintained, the staff are welcoming, helpful and friendly. The rooms are well equipped, maintained and spacious. The pools and beach are excellently serviced with plenty of sunbeds for everyone. There are a variety of bars and restaurants. The 2 issues we had this year was the location of our room and the buffet restaurant. The 1st issue was our room was lovely but it was in the main building facing the pool we were pleased at first but every evening there was loud music and entertainers until at least 10.30 we're in our 60s and it wasn't appreciated there is no soundproofing at all. Last year we stayed in the smaller building above the swim- up rooms if you want peaceful evenings I suggest you stay in this building. The 2nd issue was the buffet restaurant on 3 evenings we went to eat at around 7.30/7.45 only to find there wasn't a single potato left, we enquired but was told they'd all gone and wasn't been replenished this shocked us because I do not consider these times late for an evening meal and there were plenty of other guests who arrived later, on another occasion we had to get up whilst eating our meal and run for dessert because the waiters were clearing it all away on trolleys it was only 8.30. This never happened last year and it's not what I expect from a 5 star hotel. The food was good but we found these issues certainly disappointing and unprofessional. It didn't spoil our holiday but it has made us think about returning for a 3rd visit.

Super hotel ,from check in to check out all seamless. The food and drinks are excellent ,indoors areas well set out and spotless. Pools outside bar and dining areas well staffed clean and inviting. I've left the staff to last if there is a monthly employee award this should be shared equally amongst all of them,this was not only my opinion but the opinion of everyone I spoke to. “Outstanding!!!”

We have stayed in various barut hotels but this was the first time at the hemera. We have to say it was absolutely outstanding and is definitely at the top of our list for a return visit. We have stayed in various barut hotels but this was the first time at the hemera. We have to say it was absolutely outstanding and is definitely at the top of our list for a return visit. We were greeted with a drink from the bar and sat in the lounge bar whilst all the nessasarys were sorted.So much nicer doing it this way than standing for ages at a reception desk. There was a slight mix up with our room but it was sorted quickly and effectively with the minimum of fuss. The room itself was lovely with a great view over the gardens that were so well cared for by the gardeners and the sea beyond. The bed was lovely and comfortable as were the pillows and the option to choose your room "scent" was a nice touch I haven't come across before. The food was lovely in both the main restaurant and the a la cart restaurants and it was a nice bonus being able to choose so many eating options on a lunch time. The drinks are all premium and the cocktails are top class, unlike some of the sugary syrupy drinks served at some resorts. What really makes the hotel though is the staff. Everybody was so friendly and accommodating,nothing was to much trouble and all staff had a great "can do attitude" Thanks to all at the Hemera for a fantastic holiday and we can't wait to return!!!
