We recently stayed at the Modern Saraylar Hotel and had a lovely time overall. The staff were all very friendly, especially the waiters and waitresses, and the dining atmosphere was always great. The food was decent with a good variety, and there was plenty of entertainment, including fun kids’ shows that our 2-year-old really enjoyed. A special thank you to the deputy manager (his name began with a W, sorry I can’t remember it!). Our 2-year-old has allergies, and he went above and beyond by arranging for the catering staff to cook the gluten-free pasta we had brought with us. We really appreciated how helpful and caring he was. The only improvements I’d suggest are clearer allergen labelling and taking more care to avoid cross-contamination of serving utensils, as this was our biggest concern with an allergy toddler. It would also help if more staff spoke basic English, as we often had to rely on Google Translate, even when visiting the hotel doctor. The only disappointing part of our stay was the spa experience. After accepting the free trial massage, the main massage lady became very pushy about booking a full massage. Even after politely declining, she would approach me almost every time she saw me in the hotel asking when I was coming, to the point where I’d try to avoid walking past her. It made me feel uncomfortable and unfortunately took away from what was otherwise a really enjoyable holiday.
