We stayed 28th July for a week, we upgraded to a Seaview room when booking and emailed ahead to request a room in the main building, the hotel is split into smaller beachfront blocks where the snack bar and entertainment area is and the main hotel with the main restaurant and larger quiet pool. We stayed on the 5th floor which was a nice large room with an enclosed balcony, room was cleaned daily and was spotless with the minibar re stocked daily. The air-conditioning was a bit disappointing given the 40 degree heat it only stayed on for a short time during the day meaning returning to the room it was really hot and took a while to cool. Another minor issue was the hairdryer which overheated after a few minutes use so id recommend bringing your own! The food options were amazing with qr code service available throughout the day to order food in the pool bar, snack bar and main restaurant, daily there were about 6 cooked to order dishes and during the evening a noodle bar, pasta bar and bbq all of which were really great, there were so many options we didnt use the buffet once. The snack bar for lunch is a must, steaks, Turkish bread, pizza, rotisserie chicken, pasta and chicken kebab all freshly made on top of a qr code optional menu. Pool service was equally as good with drinks ordered to either a table or your sun lounger. The drinks in the snack bar and pool bar arent branded but the ones in the lobby bar are although you need to specify this when ordering ( i usually just went to the lobby bar and asked as its not an option on the qr code) The gym is decent with plenty of equipment and chilled bottled water. Location was really good, a promenade takes you to side old town where there are loads of shops bars and places to eat although we only walked past as the hotel food and drink was of such good quality. The entertainment was really good each night with good quality acts, another minor issue is that its hot and humid in the snack bar at night, I appreciate its open air but some ceiling fans would go a long way to giving some relief when its 30 plus at night. It was our first visit to turkey and based on this stay it wont be our last, id definitely come back to the raga side due to the quality of accommodation, food, drink and most of all the service. We tipped daily as the staff really are non stop and although no one expected a tip or hovered around for one like weve experienced elsewhere, when given it was clearly appreciated. Nurdane at the snack bar was non stop working the tables in the evening and in the restaurant. Deniz at the pool bar was great, he seemed to be everywhere and always welcoming remembering orders and recommending cocktails Kader at the pool bar served everyone round the pool everyday of our stay always smiling and like others remembered our drinks and offered our favourites even when we didnt order! Emre seemed to work everywhere, supervising, making drinks and was there til the end even in the night club! Emir worked the late shift in the pool bar which was open til 9am and was always there happy to bring drinks and when it wasnt too busy stop for a chat. If youre thinking of booking id recommend it apart from a couple of very minor grumbles the whole stay was definitely 5 star.

“Turkey is amazing, I wouldn't put anyone off”

Our trip to Turkey was fab, we stayed in the Raga hotel on Side. During the world cup, we watched the games on the bog screen, all the entertainment ladies kept us busy all week.

Another Lovely Stay at the Raga Hotel ❤️🇹🇷 We’ve just returned from another lovely stay at the Raga Hotel, and once again the staff have been a huge part of what makes this hotel special. We did have a little blip at the start of our holiday when we were put in the annexe. We tried it, but unfortunately it wasn’t what we had booked and we didn’t really like it. However, the hotel listened to us and rectified this for us, moving us to where we had originally booked. We really appreciated how they dealt with this and sorted it out for us. A special mention has to go to Fırat Ramadaz, Berkan (Junior), Sertan and his wingman at the food station, who have looked after us for the past three years. They always greet us with the biggest smiles, keep our drinks topped up and cook lovely fresh food for us. It’s so nice to see the same friendly faces every year. Also a big thank you to Tuba, and the lovely lady at the pide station — I’m sorry I don’t know her name! She was always so friendly and made us delicious pide. ❤️ The staff really do make this hotel special. They work so hard, are always smiling and genuinely make you feel welcome. Thank you to everyone at the Raga Hotel for another great holiday. We’ll definitely be back! ❤️🇹🇷
