Murmansk (Russia)

Murmansk is a portuary city located in the extreme northeast of Russia, in the mouth of the river Kola, in the region of Lapland, near the frontier with Norway and Finland. It is a naval port, fisshing and shipping port.Places to visit tin Murmansk: Regional History Museum, the Northern Navy Museum, the Alyosha statue, Russian Orthodox Church, Oceanarium and the only fleet in the world with nuclear powered icebreakers.

Aomori (Japan)

Aomori is the capital city of Aomori Prefecture, in the northern Tohoku region of Japan. Aomori is located in central Aomori Prefecture, between the southern end of Mutsu Bay, which it faces to the north and the Hakkoda Mountains to the south. Aomori Nebuta is a famous festival performed from August 2 to August 7 every year and is one of the 100 Soundscapes of Japan. Besides this, major attractions of Aomori include ruins, museums, and mountains. The Hakkoda Mountains have good locations for trekking with hot spas such as Sukayu Onsen. Attractions include Sannai-Maruyama historical site tours, believed to have been first settled 5500 years ago. Guided tours are available year round. The annual Nebuta Festival is said to be the biggest "fire festival" in Japan. Taking place over several weeks in August, a big parade with lit lantern floats and dancers in costumes ends each day.

The Lesser Antilles (also known as the Caribbees) are a long, partly volcanic island arc in the Caribbean Sea. Most of its islands form the eastern boundary of the Caribbean Sea with the Atlantic Ocean, with the remainder located in the southern Caribbean just north of South America. The Lesser Antilles and the Greater Antilles compose the (or the Caribbean in its narrowest definition), which together with the Lucayan Archipielago comprise the West Indies.The islands of the Lesser Antilles are divided into three groups. The two main groups are the Windward Islands in the south and the Leeward Islands in the north. The third group is the Leeward Antilles in the west. These consist of the Dutch ABC islands just off the coast of Venezuela, plus a group of Venezuelan islands.
