One of them is located at the north of the city, Fraser Island which is the biggest sand island in the world and has rainforest and lagoons. The access is by ferry. The island is inhabited by dingoes or wild dogs.
Port Vila is the capital and most populated city in Vanatu. The surroundings of Port Vila are ideal to make trips on sailboats or by ferry to the nearby islands or to practice snorkelling and diving. The sea is full of wrecked ships, most of them from the 19th centtury, like the sailboat Star of Russia, constructed by the same company as the Titanic, and is wrecked about 300 meters of the wharf.
