Airlie Beach (Australia)

Airlie Beach is a town in the Whitsunday Region of Queensland, Australia. Airlie Beach is one of many departure points for the Great Barrier Reef. Near latitude 20 degrees south, Airlie Beach, Proserpine and the nearby Whitsunday Islands enjoy a tropical climate and lifestyle. The Whitsunday Islands, named by James Cook in 1770 are a sailors paradise. Each year the residents of Airlie Beach celebrate The Blessing of the Fleet on Whit Sunday or Pentecost Sunday. Airlie Beach is a tourist destination, extremely popular with backpackers. Its beach is small and the sea is inhabited by marine stingers, the box jellyfish (Chironex fleckeri) from November to May. In order to provide somewhere for the visitors tourists to swim, the local council, has built a small – medium sized swimming lagoon on the foreshore, similar to the lagoon found in Cairns. The Great Barrier Reef is easily accessible from Airlie Beach, with an array of different types of tours available. A survey conducted by Ray Green in 2000, found Airlie Beach was often described by local residents and tourists as commercial and touristy, relaxed, beautiful and friendly while maintaining a natural environment with tropical vegetation, views of the sea, islands and surrounding hillsides.

Darwin (Australia)

Darwin is the most populated city in the northern territory of Australia. Over the time Darwin has grown from a pioneering enclave and small port into one of Australia´s most modern and multicultural cities. The proximity with Asia make the city an important gate from countries like Indonesia and East Timor. Benoa (Bali, Indonesia)

The port of Benoa is located on the island of Bali, Indonesia. It provides easy access to nearby Kuta, the best known resort area of the island. Other nearby towns and villages include Seseh, Denpasar, Ujung, Pesanggaran, Kedonganan and Tuban. Komodo Island (Indonesia)

Komodo is one of the 17,508 islands that compose the Republic of Indonesia. The island is particularly notable as the habitat of the Komodo dragon, the largest lizard on Earth and consequently named after the island. Komodo Island has a surface area of 390 square kilometres and a human population of over two thousand. The people of the island are descendants of former convicts who were exiled to the island and who have mixed with Bugis from Sulawesi. The people are primarily adherents of Islam but there are also Christian and Hindu congregations. Komodo is part of the Lesser Sunda chain of islands and forms part of the Komodo National Park. In addition, the island is a popular destination for diving. Administratively, it is part of the East Nusa Tenggara province.

Colombo (Sri Lanka)

Sri Lanka is an island bathed with the blue waters ot the Indian Ocean in Bengala bay. It has more than 1.600 kms of beautiful golden beaches full of coconut trees. Most hotels in Sri Lanka are located along the coast. The principal attraction for most of the tourism can be found in the beaches and the resorts more than in cities and near villages. Although some places like Galle in the west coast due to it's historical heritage, is included in the attraction and does not include sun and sand. We can also stop in the west coast to do an interesting visit to the batiks factory or a turtle nursery, present our respects or to see in first hand the art of manufacturing the Toddy.

Durban (South Africa)

Durban is a city in South Africa, in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, offshore from the Indian Ocean. It is the third biggest city of the country, after Johannesburg and Cape Town. The city has important touristic resorts, many of them with an Artedeco style as a principal claim, as it is the artistic movement of Durban. The hotels have their own private beaches, where tourists enjoy of all type of water sports, but specially surf, due to the big waves in the region. The maritim activity is completed with the Ushaka marine, the aquarium in Durban and one of the biggest in the world. Other of the great attractions is the great offer in natural parks. Cape Town (South Africa)

Cape Town is the second-most populated city in South Africa after Johannesburg. The city has several well-known natural features that attract tourists, most notably Table Mountain,which forms a large part of the Table Mountain National Park and is the back end of the City Bowl. Cape Point is recognised as the dramatic headland at the end of the Cape Peninsula.Many tourists also drive along Chapman's Peak Drive, a narrow road that links Noordhoek with Hout Bay, for the views of the Atlantic Ocean and nearby mountains.
