What you need to know

Disability & Care Requirements

If you or your travelling companions require an accessible cabin, or in the unlikely event of an emergency on board would require assistance to be able to get to your assigned assembly point, please call us on +44(0) 20 3626 9656 to secure your booking. //

Guests who are unable to get to their muster stations independently (which could be down several flights of stairs because, in an emergency, lifts will not be available) due to a disability, health or mental capacity must be pre-registered for assistance to ensure we have sufficient support. Failure to provide this information could result in you being denied boarding at your own expense. If you do require assistance, using the below statements please advise us of the level of assistance required. *Someone to guide and steady me on the stairs (one-to-one assistance). For anyone bringing a mobility aid, such as a walking stick or walker, this is a recommended minimum requirement. *I'm unable to use stairs (I require an emergency evacuation chair). For anyone who is a full /part-time wheelchair or mobility scooter user, this is a mandatory requirement.

Insurance*

It is mandatory for all UK guests to take out comprehensive travel insurance for their holiday. It is essential that you let your insurer know you are taking a cruise holiday. Your policy must include medical cover of £2 million minimum that includes cover for emergency evacuations and medical expenses related to COVID-19. You must also ensure your policy includes cover for repatriation, cancellation and curtailment and full cover for any and all pre-existing medical conditions worldwide, or as a minimum, in the countries you are due to visit.

You will be asked to confirm you have travel insurance at the terminal and you may be asked to evidence this. Unfortunately you will be denied boarding, at your own expense, if you have not arranged insurance. P&O Cruises has partnered with Holiday Extras to offer appropriate, comprehensive travel insurance cover for our holidays. To find out more, visit www.holidayextras.com/pocruises or phone 0800 093 3070 and quote PAOHX. Holiday Extras offer three levels of cover to choose from: bronze, silver and gold. All of these available options meet our minimum requirements for travel insurance.
