Dundee

The Port of Dundee is a gateway to the historic City of Dundee, Angus, Fife (St Andrews), Perthshire and the Trossachs and is located close next to City Quay and the rejuvenated Dundee Waterfront. Please note all passengers must report to the specially designated ‘Cruise Traffic’ area at East Camperdown Street, Dundee, DD1 3LG.Dundee City Council offers secure car parking at the Olympia Car Park (postcode DD1 3JU) which is a short taxi ride to the Cruise Terminal. This car park is operated by the City Council at a weekly rate of £56 (this may vary) for your cruise payable at the car park by cash or card.

Alesund (Norway)

Alesund is a town and municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is part of the traditional district of Sunnmøre, and the center of the Alesund Region. It is a sea port, and is noted for its unique concentration of Art Nouveau architecture. The town of Alesund is the administrative centre of Alesund Municipality, as well as the principal shipping town of the Sunnmøre district The Norwegian Centre of Art Nouvea Architecture, Jugendstilsenteret, is situated in Alesund. Its a museum and competence center with exhibitions telling the story of the town fire and Art Nouveu/Jugendstil in Norway and Europe. Alesund is the site of the annual Norwegian Food Festival.

Tromso (Norway)

Alta (Norway)

Alta is a municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. Alta is the northernmost city in the world. For those interested in bird watching, the river outlet, known locally as Altaosen is well worth a visit. This tidal area is used as a stopover for many wetland species.

Bodo (Arctic Circle)

Bodo is a town and municipality in Nordland, Norway. Kicated north of the Artic Circle it is the largest urban area and city in Nordland county, and the second-largest in North Norway. From the 2nd of June to the 10th of July aproximately, it has a midnight sun. That means you can see the sun or it's reflection during the whole day.

Bergen (Norway)

Bergen is the second largest city in Norway and the most popular gateway to the fjords of West Norway. The city is renowned for its beautiful nature and offers excellent hiking opportunities in its immediate surroundings. Having fostered many of Norway's greatest bands and artists, the city is also famous for its cultural life and underground/indie music scene. There is a great variety of restaurants and cafes in Bergen, but you should expect to spend some time looking for the best places. In the most central parts of the city, many of the restaurants are all the same. Move a block away from the most central parts of downtown to find lower prices and better food

Travel insurance; travel joining costs to the port of embarkation (except for fly-cruises where specified); optional destination experiences; port parking; onboard spending of personal nature like drinks, gifts, shopping, laundry, communications etc; any visa and health certificate charges that may apply; and crew gratuities and services charges which will be automatically billed to your onboard account. 

Ambassador Cruise Line operates an automatic system whereby an amount of £7 pp/pm (this amount reduces to £6 pp/pn for cruises of 16 nights or more in duration) is automatically added to your onboard account; this also includes all service charges for drinks - All monies are collated so a portion goes to each crew member, who helps to make your cruise special; this is not only distributed to your cabin steward and your waiter or bar attendant, it is also distributed between the hidden stars behind the scenes, such as laundry operatives and kitchen staff, who you might never get to meet in person; for children aged 12-17 years of age, where applicable on a multi-generational sailing fares shown exclude gratuities at £4pp per night.

    Ambassador Cruise Line operates as primarily adult only cruises (18 years and over) except a few multi-generational sailings. This means that you can enjoy the pleasures of cruising in the company of adult guests.

  • ORCA Partner!

    Ambassador Cruise Line has partnered with ORCA, a charity dedicated to studying and protecting whales, dolphins and porpoises in UK and European waters, to launch the first ever cruise “Anti-Whaling” campaign, creating the Ambassador & ORCA pledge. A brand-wide anti-whaling policy, making it clear that Ambassador Cruise Line is opposed to all commercial whaling. As part of their pledge ORCA will be placing two Ocean Conservationists onboard Ambience and Ambition in 2024, on the sailings where it is indicated, to collect important scientific data in key areas, as well as delivering an enhanced onboard experience for guests so that they can deliver unforgettable wildlife experiences to all guests.

    Formal notice to the Faroese Government urging them to end the dolphin hunt during the upcoming review. A review of all proposed Destination Experiences for guests in Iceland, Greenland, Norway and the Faroes and pledge to remove any activities that incorporate any form of whaling or offer the option to consume whale and dolphin products (e.g. restaurants serving whale meat), including not offering any experiences to Oceanariums (experiences that have captive marine mammals)

  • Types of Fares

    There are 2 types of Fares, the Saver Fare and the Ambassador Fare´. The Ambassador Fare´ is a special fare that includes the Top Expedition Drinks Package, This drinks package includes Premium & House Wines, Premium & House brands from the bar, Premium teas & speciality coffees, Choice of 1st or 2nd dining sitting for dinner (excludes table size) and Priority for complimentary cabin upgrades (subject to availability). You will be offered this fare in the booking process. The AMbassador Fare is recommended as it is a Best Value Fare for all it includes. The Saver Fare is more economical but does not include these benefits.

What you need to know

Specially adapted cabins

Ambience has thirteen cabins adapted for those needing mobility aids, and Ambition has two. Please note that to book one of these cabins you must contact us before making any booking on our website, as these cabins cannot be booked online. Call 020 3499 5846 for more information about these cabins.

Ambassador Cruise Line warmly welcomes guests with disabilities, including those with mobility restrictions as well as restricted sight and hearing. However, with the very different nature of a cruising holiday when compared to one on land, and purely for safety reasons, such guests should be accompanied by an able-bodied, or a fully sighted/hearing companion (as appropriate), who will be responsible for providing any assistance that you may require both onboard and ashore. In addition to this, Ambasador Cruise Line welcomes guests who wish to bring a lightweight wheelchair/scooter with them for shore use only however, these must be stored in your cabin at all times and cannot be used on board the vessel in any circumstance.
