Rotterdam

Rotterdam is located about a half-hour away from The Hague and an hour from Amsterdam, and has the largest port in Europe, with the rivers Meuse and Rhine providing excellent access to Basel, Switzerland and into France. This city is known for its Erasmus University and the cutting-edge architecture as the large congress and concert building called De Doelen, many well known museums. Rotterdam has its own orchestra, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra with its world famous musical director Valery Gergiev, plus many theatres that includes the new Luxor theatre and movie theatres. Rotterdam has also a lively cultural life (the Ahoy complex located in the south of the city hosts pop concerts and all sorts of music, poetry and cinema festivals, exhibitions, tennis tournaments and other activities). Northwest of Rotterdam you will find the major zoo called Diegaarde Blijdorp complete with a walkthrough sea aquarium called Oceanjum.

South Queensferry (Edinburgh)

Town located 16 kms from the center of the city of Edimburgh "Capital of the Culture". Outstands the Stirling Castle, an important military fortress and the royal palace. Also outstands the episcopal church od Saint Mary, the eldest building in the town, and the Black Castle, a house built in the principal street on 1626.

Invergordon (Scotland)

Invergordon is a town and port in Easter Ross, in Ross and Cromarty, Highland, Scotland.At present the port is visited by many large cruise liners each year, as the deep water port allows disembarkation for coach tours in the northern Highlands.Invergordon is now the mural town of the Highlands and hopes to emulate the success of her mentor in Chemainus, British Columbia. Currently the town is adorned with a series of 17 murals. The paintwork created by a selection of artists tells the stories of the local community and the area. This trail is a result of a community project which was initially designed to integrate local community groups . The trail, which was opened by the Princess Royal, now acts as a major tourist draw. Take a moment to view their pieces, Channel, Foundations and Bubblefield. As ever, these artists drew their source material from working with a broad cross-section of local people. Infrastructure. Popular shore excursions include visits to Loch Ness, nearby castles and distilleries.

Stornoway (Outer Hebrides)

Originally a Viking settlement, Stornoway is now the main town on the island of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, situated around a bustling harbour and offering a range of local specialist shops selling local handcrafted goods (jewellery and the famous Harris Tweed). The traditionns are still there and the beautiful Isle of Lewis is considered the heartland of the Gaelic culture. It is also home to some of the most important prehistoric sites in Scotland including the Neolithic Callanish Stones and Pictish Carloway Broch.

Holyhead (Wales)

In the Island of Anglesey we can find the town of Holyhead, well known for being a busy ferry port. Here can find a number of interesting things to do like shopping, golfing, or sailing. We will find a beautiful scenery, walks and beaches and we will see both historic and prehistoric sites we can explore. In Holyhead there is a maritime museum and the South Stack Lighthouse, on the other side of Holyhead mountain, which are mandatory visits. We can also visit Barcloddia Yr Gawres, burial chambers or Llys Rhosyr the historic site. The town is built around St. Cybis Church, inside one of the three european walled Roman forts.
