Geiranger

The largest touristic attraction of Scandinavia: the sons of the ice that have eroded the mountains, leaving the fjords penetrate in the sea. These are amongst the nost impresive natiral formations in the world. The land of the southern fjords, or better said, on the southwest of Norway. it consists on four regions: More og Romsdal, Sogn and Fjorde Hordaland, and Rogaland. The most know attraction is the famous Sognefjord, the nearest fjord, deepest, longest in the world. Two hundred kilometers of blue branches on which thrives, wild, uncontrollable. Very few places in the world can admire of such a majestic nature. This is the Norwegian fjord, the region of strong contrasts, where the nature reigns. A nature in three colours (green, white and blue), those of the hanging cliffs and green moss, waterfalls hundreds of feet from the glaciars, and the sea everywhere. Just mention that 11 of the 20 glaciars of norways are in the fjord region. From the glaciar, to the fjord, to the sea it is no more than 2 hours. Alesund is a town and municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is part of the traditional district of Sunnmøre, and the center of the Alesund Region. It is a sea port, and is noted for its unique concentration of Art Nouveau architecture. The town of Alesund is the administrative centre of Alesund Municipality, as well as the principal shipping town of the Sunnmøre district The Norwegian Centre of Art Nouvea Architecture, Jugendstilsenteret, is situated in Alesund. Its a museum and competence center with exhibitions telling the story of the town fire and Art Nouveu/Jugendstil in Norway and Europe. Alesund is the site of the annual Norwegian Food Festival.

Akureyri (Iceland)

Akureyri is a town in northern Iceland. It is Iceland's second largest urban area (after the Greater Reykjavík area) and fourth largest municipality (after Reykjavík, Hafnarfjörður, and Kópavogur). Nicknamed the Capital of North Iceland, Akureyri is an important port and fishing centre. The area has a relatively warm climate due to geographical factors, and the town's ice-free harbour has played a significant role in its history. Sites that have been cited as areas of interest include various museums, churches, and the Botanical Gardens. Local museums include the Akureyri Museum, Akureyri Art Museum, Nonni house or Jón Sveinsson Memorial Museum, for the writer, David's house or Davíð Stefánsson Memorial Museum, for the poet), Akureyri Museum of Industry, a motorcycle museum,[and Aviation Museum. The most northerly botanical gardens and the most northerly 18 hole golf course in the world are in the town.The Nature Museum was is in the grounds of the Botanical Gardens.The Botanical Gardens are located in Spítalavegur.
