Monemvasia (Greece)

Monemvasia is a town and a municipality in Laconia, Greece. The town is located on a small peninsula off the east coast of the Peloponnese. The peninsula is linked to the mainland by a short causeway 200m in length. Its area consists mostly of a large plateau some 100 metres above sea level, up to 300 m wide and 1 km long, the site of a powerful medieval fortress. The town walls and many Byzantine churches remain from the mediaeval period. The seat of the municipality is the town Molaoi. The town's name derives from two Greek words, mone and emvasia, meaning "single entrance". Its Italian form, Malvasia, gave its name to Malmsey wine. Monemvasia's nickname is the Gibraltar of the East or The Rock.

Taormina (Italy)

One of those charming places that italian geography hides, especially in the Isle of Siciliy. In this case we are talking about this city in the Mesina province. This city is famous because it was a rest and inspiration place for Truman Capote or Thomas Mann, and also well known artists as Salvador Dali and Orson Wells. As many cities in SIcily, Taormina is located on a mountain, 200 meters abouve love level, where you will find idyllic views that end up in beaches with clear waters. Some points of interest of this city are: The Greco-Roman Theatre, that was built by the romans three centuries b.C., the structure is mainly roman as it was restored by them on the first century a.C. Toulon (France)

Toulon is France´s second most important naval port, a fine Mediterranean harbour surrounded by hills. The town has a lively atmosphere throughout the year. There is a wealth of new museums, cafes and restaurants. The centre of the modern town is Place de la Liberté, dominated by the magnificent Grand Hotel, the last vestige of former glory days. Here, too, is Place Victor Hugo with its pavement cafes and the splendid Opera de Toulon. Look out for the huge wall frescoes so typical of Toulon. The historical center is located just north of the harbour. Toulon is genuine Provence , with wonderful smells of lavender and thyme in the market places.

Palamos (Spain)

Palamos is a town in the province of Girona, Catalonia, in the Mediterranean Costa Brava. It is found on the northern end of a bay and known for the peacful crytaline waters where you can swim, sail or practive windsurf. It has a major port, and one of the eldest fishing fleets found in the Mediterranean. The main fishing activity is dedicated to the prawns. The towns port is surrounded by bars and restaurants which are very animated specialy at night time.

Barcelona

The port of Barcelona was born about the same time as the city was. It is one of the most important ports in the Mediterranean, cruises leaving to tour the most desirable cities in the Western Mediterranean.
