Cartagena de Indias (Colombia)

Puntarenas (Costa Rica)

Puntarenas (Pointsands, from "punta arenas", or "sand point" in Spanish) is the capital and largest city in the province Puntarenas, Costa Rica, at the Pacific coast. The eponymous and oddly shaped province has its largest section in the South, far from the capital. Some 100,000 live in the city and close towns. With beaches on the Pacific Ocean, it also attracts many tourists, especially surfers. It is also a possible stopover point for the tourist destination Monteverde, to the northwest. Its port, Caldera, is one of the main ports in the country. Also, regularly scheduled ferries carry vehicles from Puntarenas to the Nicoya Peninsula.

Corinto, Nicaragua

Corinto is a town of on the northwest Pacific coast of Nicaragua in the province of Chinandega. The country's principal port on the Pacific Ocean, Corinto is located in sheltered Corinto Bay, which lies at the southeastern end of low-lying Aserradores (Punta Icaco) Island, connected by bridges with the mainland.. The beaches in Corinto are very beautiful and often very desolate.

Puerto Quetzal (Guatemala)

Puerto Quetzal is Guatemalas largest Pacific Ocean port. It is located in Escuintla department, alongside the city of Puerto San José.The area around Puerto Quetzal is supposed to have some of the nicest beaches in all of Guatemala. About three miles west is Balneario Chulamar, and three miles to the east is Balneario Likín, a popular Guatemalan resort town. Bird watching and surfing are also popular pastimes in and around Puerto Quetzal. ´There are various tours available that take passengers to La Antigua, Auto Safari Chapin zoo, La Reunion world class golf resort, and other various tour packages are offered specially created for cruise passengers. The city is best known as one of Mexico´s oldest and most well-known beach resorts, which came into prominence in the 1950s as a getaway for Hollywood stars and millionaires. Acapulco is famous for its nightlife and still attracts many tourists. Cabo San Lucas (Mexico)

The former capital is Napia (English Harbour)on the western side, south of a passage into the lagoon. Other villages are Tereitaki, in the northwest, Aontena, a resettlement area just south of Napia, and Manuku, a resettlement area in the south. Surabaya is Indonesia´s second-largest city with a population of over 3.1 million (5.6 million in the metropolitan area), and the capital of the province of East Java. It is located on the northern shore of eastern Java at the mouth of the Mas River and along the edge of the Madura Strait.To Indonesians, it is known as "the city of heroes" due to the importance of the Battle of Surabaya in galvanizing Indonesian and international support for Indonesian independence during the Indonesian National Revolution. Attractions in Surabaya include the historical attractions in the ´Old City´ aea. These include the Ampel Mosque and the Kong Co Kong Tik Cun Ong Temple. Surabaya Zoo (Kebun Binatang) is a popular family attraction, as is the appealing stretch of sand better known to holidaymakers as Kenjeran Beach. The water slides at Ciputra Waterpark is fun for children and for adults, a stroll along the mouthwatering Food Street (G-Walk) is a must.

Semarang (Java, Indonesia)

Semarang is a city on the north coast of the island of Java, Indonesia. It is the capital and largest city of the province of Central Java. It has an area of 3144.29 sq mi and a population of approximately 2 million people, making it Indonesia´s sixth most populous city and Indonesian fifth largest city after Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, and Medan. Greater Semarang (aka Kedungsapur) has a population of close to 6 million (see Greater Semarang section). A major port during the Dutch colonial era, and still an important regional center and port today, the city has a dominant Javanese population. Semarang is located on the northern coast of Java. The northern part of the city is built on the coastal plain while the southern parts, known as Candi Lama and Candi Baru, are on higher ground. Two Dutch-built aqueducts run through the city to control the yearly flood, one on the east side and one through the west side, essentially dividing the city into three major areas. As a result of its large ethnically Chinese population, the city boasts several Chinese temples. These include Sam Poo Kong (Gedung Batu), built in honour of the Chinese Great Admiral Zheng He who visited the area in 1405.
