Cruising the Panama Canal is an undescriptible experience itself not to mention the amazing destinations you'll visit in Mexico, Guatemala and Costa Rica.

The man-made Panama Canal is 51 miles long and connects the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean. Sailing through the lock system is a fascinating experience and one that many will only have the opportunity to do once. Some sailings do a full transit, whereas others will do a partial transit, usually on the Atlantic side and into the Gatun Locks. At 85ft above sea level and surrounded by an astonishing rainforest, it is a man-made wonder. Often referred to as the world’s ‘greatest shortcut’, the Panama Canal took more than 400 years to finish. Its existence saves cruise ships an additional 8,000 miles from travelling around South America and avoiding the lengthy and often hazardous route around the southernmost tip of South America via the Drake Passage or Strait of Magellan. On average, it takes between 8-10 hours to cross through the full Panama Canal lock system. Port cities that often feature include Acapulco, Cartagena, Los Angeles, Panama City, Puntarenas, Cabo San Lucas, Aruba, and more. We have a variety of Panama Canal and Central America cruises available, some that include a full transit and some that offer a partial transit as part of an extended Caribbean sailing.
