Granada

Historic and monumental

Granada, pure art

A tourist hotspot where beaches, snow-capped mountains and dreamy landscapes all harmoniously blend together. The Alhambra and the Generalife are just a small sample of Granada's amazing heritage, with some fifteen towns in the province declared historic sites by the Spanish government.

Don't miss one of the wonders of the world

that will blow your mind

The Alhambra

If there's one monument that you simply cannot miss; it's the Alhambra. Don´t just hear about it second-hand! From inside or outside, the Alhambra is the symbol of a city which masterfully merged the stunning light of Andalusia with the privileged waters of the Sierra Nevada to create decorative architectural elements that you won't find anywhere else...and that will bestow a delightful sensation of inner peace. No wonder did its unparalleled beauty inspire writers and composers such as Washington Irving or Manuel de Falla. The Alhambra is the city, fortress and palace erected by the monarchs of the Nazarí dynasty of the Kingdom of Granada, one of the most visited monuments in Europe and the number one tourist attraction in Spain. A World Heritage Site, its origins date back to the 9th century. A good idea is to take a leisurely three-hour stroll around the site to admire the Gardens of the Generalife, the Nazarí Palaces and the Alcazaba, all of Arab construction, and the palace of Carlos V and the church of Santa Maria, of Christian construction.
