Artfully combining its historical legacy and its deep seafaring tradition. In Calafell you can discover the legacy of the Iberians in the citadel, with interesting activities for schoolchildren and tourists.
But Calafell is so much more. A plethora of water activities await you here and gentle waves with gentle slopes have made this beautiful spot a favourite destination for families. You are free to choose whether you want to relax by playing golf, enjoying water sports, tasting the rich gastronomy, sunbathing on its magnificent beaches... Literary figures such as Carlos Barral, who considered Calafell to be fundamental in his life and work, as well as writers of the calibre of Gabriel García Márquez, Mario Vargas Llosa and Octavio Paz, among many others, have been distinguished visitors to this village. At the Barral family's house in Calafell, an old fishermen's "botiga", now converted into a museum, guided tours and activities are held to explore Calafell's seafaring and literary past.
