Ski lift refers to any cable transport device that carries skiers up a hill. There can be different  ski lift classes: aerial lifts (aerial tramways, chairlifts, telemix etc), surface lift (j-bars, t-bars, rope tows & handle tows ets) and cable railways (funiculars)
