would like to recognize the housekeeping staff member on the 7th floor of Grand A1 for her outstanding work. She was always friendly, professional, and hardworking. The way she cleaned and communicated with her supervisor showed her dedication and attention to detail. She made us feel comfortable and confident that the area was always clean and well maintained. We never saw her standing still—she was always busy making sure everything was spotless. Her commitment and positive attitude truly made a difference during our stay.

We stayed at Grand Blue Fafa Resort & Spa at the end of July 2026. The photos on the internet are very misleading. Many of the promotional pictures actually show Aqua Blue Palace, the sister hotel. While guests can use the pools at both hotels, the food advertised on social media is only available at Aqua Blue Palace, and guests staying at Grand Blue Fafa are not allowed to dine there. We spent one week at the resort. The sea is beautiful, warm, and pleasant. However, if you arrive at the beach after breakfast, you have almost no chance of finding a free sunbed. Around the pool it is even worse – despite signs stating that towels must not be left on sunbeds before 8:00 a.m., by 7:30 a.m. nearly every sunbed is already reserved. From the outside, the resort looks beautiful and very luxurious. Inside, however, the hotel feels old and outdated, especially compared to Aqua Blue Palace. The seating area at the pool bar is far too small, and during the evening entertainment there are not enough seats unless you arrive at least an hour in advance. The rooms were never mopped during our entire stay. On the day we arrived, the bathroom floor was covered with sand, and it remained that way until the day we left. The shower was never properly cleaned either. The beds were made every day and toiletries were replenished, but drinking water was not. Considering that there is no drinkable tap water in the resort, this is disappointing. Although there are water dispensers around the hotel where guests can refill bottles, this is not what you would expect from a 5-star hotel. The surrounding area is lively and we really enjoyed the atmosphere outside the hotel. However, inside Grand Blue Fafa the experience was quite different. The Czech animation team from Čedok was rarely seen. Most of the entertainment was organized by the Polish travel agency, and even the evening shows mainly featured Polish music. The rooms are noisy. Music from the evening entertainment can be heard until around midnight. Early in the morning, you are then woken by drunk guests returning to their rooms, with no regard for those who are trying to sleep. The soundproofing of the doors is practically non-existent. The Wi-Fi connection is very weak and does not reach the beach at all. In Europe there is so much focus on reducing plastic waste, yet here millions of disposable plastic cups are handed out every day. They end up scattered everywhere, including on the beach. Drinks are repeatedly served in tiny 200 ml plastic cups instead of reusable glass half-litre glasses. There is only one small bar by the beach and one by the pool, both with constant long queues. The wellness area was closed throughout our entire stay. The indoor swimming pool was empty, and the salt cave cost an additional €10 for 30 minutes. The food was another disappointment. Throughout the entire week, the selection was almost exactly the same for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There was very little variety, and the menu hardly changed from day to day. Shrimp were served only twice during our stay, including one themed evening when they were prepared fresh in front of the guests. Guests are not allowed to take food out of the main restaurant. After a few days, we started eating at the snack bar instead, as it offered a slightly different selection. However, it was obvious that food left over from the previous day was often reused, as some items were dry and stale the following day. The only advantage of the snack bar was that food could be taken to the pool or the beach.

The hotel was in a great location and the beach was nice, if unspectacular. Lots of free sunbeds on the beach. The hotel was exceptionally clean and there were a lot of staff. The food was pretty good although it was very similar every day. It felt very crowded in the restaurant and around the pool. Pool towels ran out very quickly. No chance of a space around the pool unless you are up before 8am. Reception staff were fairly rude and uninterested in solving any problems. The young bar staff were great though. The bar on the beach is super handy. All Inclusive drinks are pretty limited and ropey! The tiny plastic cups were not what was anticipated for a 5 star hotel. Incredibly bad for the environment and an unpleasant drinking experience. The spa has loads of potential but poor managment has let it down. The sauna door didn't close, hence it was room temperature. The rainshower didn't work. The jacuzzi and pool are over chlorinated, burning the eyes. Some of the lights around the indoor pool were broken and constantly strobing. Signs were falling apart. We were there for 9 days and mentioned it to staff but nobody is remotely interested in resolving problems. The sauna could be a quick fix with a couple of magnets. We had a massage which was pretty good, although the massage therapist left twice during the massage to deal with some enquiries from reception. No water offered after the massage. The rooms are good, although ours was above where the garbage truck picks up waste and above the kitchen so there was constant crashing and banging. The wi-fi rarely worked. The TV didn't work, although this did get resolved by staff with some persuasion. The bathroom light wouldn't turn off. This wasn't resolved at all. We were travelling with our 2 children. We asked for rooms close to each other but were told this wasn't an option. Our children ended up in a completely different building! This hotel is in a good location and has great potential but is let down by poor management and some uninterested/rude staff. It is a 3 star hotel at best, but could be a 4 star with improved management and a few tweaks.
