Because our suite was so nice I tried to send these suggestions and criticisms directly to Marriott but there was no way to do that on line so now it has to be public. The hotel itself is lovely and our suite, #429, was large and nicely furnished with lots of amenities. The view was spectacular from the mosque on the left and over the valley and several bridges. However there are some issues. A simple one to fix, and this applies to all hotels, please have a sink plug that closes. In our case we are traveling for 52 days and certainly not taking 52 pairs of underwear and socks each, so we bring a half dozen each and wash them in the sink when we are staying two nights or more. Here we stayed four nights. We had laundry done by the hotel but are certainly not giving them underwear. Next issue - on our first night we went to the restaurant on the first floor where we were told they were full and sent us to the one on the second floor where they told us that it was now open only for special events. The only other option was the bar but there was a guy outside charging about US$25 for men to enter (women are free) as the bar is part of the nightclub. We had to eat there but in a dark club environment and with a limited menu. The next night we went back to the first floor restaurant where it was only a buffet, which is fine if you are starving but a waste of money for us after we’d had a large lunch and just wanted a snack. To boot when we asked for the wine list they said they didn’t have one but had red and white wine. We wanted to know what varieties but the best they could do was to bring two bottles and offer us a choice. For a large five star hotel this is unacceptable and certainly not the Marriott standard we are used to. There was a card by the bed saying they change the sheets every third day but our certainly were not. The WiFi is slow. This trip was to celebrate my wife’s 72nd birthday and my 80th, both on the same day, In a couple of the hotels we stayed in the week before, they sent up a birthday cake and other treats but here, on our actual birthday, absolutely nothing. As I said the dinner options were so poor that on our birthday we went to another hotel to dine. Come on Marriott, get your act together.

Professional service mostly. Lots of staff but some don’t know the right info. Gave us wrong time on breakfast causing us to miss it. Professional service mostly. Lots of staff but some don’t know the right info. Gave us wrong time on breakfast causing us to miss it. Osama restaurant supervisor did his best to accommodate us (well done) however you could see the cooks bad attitude (not good). Rooms looking at the city have the most amazing view. They are very well decorated and with lots of space. Super comfortable. Would definitely go back. The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is because ALL the staff should have knowledge of everything and the cooks showed bad attitude.

My husband and I stayed at the Constantine Marriott Hotel for three nights from October 23-26, and it was a great experience from start to finish. The hotel is perfectly located near the Oued Rhumel River and Cirta Museum, making it a convenient base for both exploring the city and enjoying a relaxing retreat. We stayed in a Junior Suite, which added a touch of luxury to our visit. The suite’s special feature was a private hot tub, offering the perfect way to relax after long days of exploring. The spacious suite included one bedroom and one bathroom, equipped with a bidet, free toiletries, and a combination bathtub/shower. The big windows provided stunning views of the mountains and city, making mornings and evenings especially memorable. The suite was thoughtfully furnished with a comfortable bed, a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, a minibar, tea and coffee maker, and a wardrobe. Additional amenities such as a desk, ironing facilities, and a sofa bed made our stay even more convenient. The hotel features the Saray Spa, offering luxury treatments and fitness classes, but we did not have the chance to use it during our stay. Breakfast was one of the highlights of our visit. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet every morning, where the staff was friendly, competent, and attentive. The buffet offered a wide variety of options, including fresh bakery items, traditional Algerian dishes, a made-to-order omelet station, a salad station, and a coffee station. All the items were fresh and well-prepared. We especially enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace, which provided a lovely start to each day. The location of the hotel was another significant advantage. It is within walking distance to the tramway, with the nearest tram station just a 5-10 minute walk away. From there, we were able to visit the Emir Abdelkader Mosque, Pont Sidi M’Cid, and the Monument Aux Morts. These famous sights are accessible via the tram and a bit of walking, so if you don’t mind walking, don’t hesitate to book this hotel. Initially, we considered staying at Protea or Novotel, but after seeing the crowds and rush near those hotels, we were very happy with our decision to stay at the Marriott. I agree that this hotel may not feel like a full 5-star property, but when we travel to unique destinations, we usually don’t focus on spa treatments or other amenities because we are busy exploring the city and trying local cuisine. Despite booking our stay with points, we were treated exceptionally well, and the staff made us feel valued throughout our visit. Overall, the Constantine Marriott Hotel exceeded our expectations with its combination of being located outside of the hustle and bustle of the city, convenience, and good service. If you do not mind walking and have a budget of $150-$200, this is not a bad place to unwind and relax after a long day of exploring the city.

The hotel is beautiful and easy recognised by its decorative design “Marriott”. Overall my stay was enjoyable with some remarks that I hope will be taken into consideration in order to maintain the standard of this good hotel. The room is very clean and comfortable with some shortcomings on the bathroom such cotton buds, pins, head covers. I was disappointed at breakfast area, I found it limited for 5 stars hotel despite some local speciality cakes that I really like them. The presentation of food must be reviewed and i hope too that employees will be more attentive because mugs, cups, bowels were missed for more than 10 minutes and were available after claims, this should be monitored by supervisors and employees who were available there with miss of attention. A nice fitness room there but was missed towels and waters.

I cannot believe this hotel is a 5-star hotel. Based on its size perhaps? Because nothing what I saw there would be considered a 5-star hotel. Everything, I mean, everything is outdated and I question how clean and maintained the rooms actually are. The elevator system is confusing. Some of them don't even work. All the restaurants are closed except for the buffet. And WOW, the food was terrible and below standard. I was so surprised. The spa looked gross. I didn't even want to get services there because it didn't look clean and it smelled like sewer backup. My room, has an old school A/C, which didn't even work. The shower was dirty and didn't drain, and did NOT have warm water!! Seriously? I've been in worst hotels that at least had warm water. I'm disappointed in the Marriott. I stay at Mariotts a lot and this was by far the most disappointing. And to be rated a 5-star hotel is such a lie.
