“Great older lux hotel”

Great jacuzzi on the roof. Clean room near shopping and city center. Great full free breakfast with tons of fresh fruit. Fantastic view of the lake with a rustic cabin feel. Super soft bed. Friendly staff and all the chocolate you care to ever eat nearby.

“A mixed bag”

Starting with the good, the beds at this hotel are absolutely wonderful! Also, the staff which were mostly all bilingual, were amazing! Special shoutout to Victoria for especially excellent service. Starting with the good, the beds at this hotel are absolutely wonderful! Also, the staff which were mostly all bilingual, were amazing! Special shoutout to Victoria for especially excellent service. Finally, the soft product at this hotel is great! They had free hot breakfast every day in addition to a rooftop sauna and indoor pool, along with a lobby bar which had a great ambiance. Now for the not so great: as many others have pointed out in other reviews, the condition of the rooms is very poor. Our room was especially old. Also, Don’t book a partial lake view room expecting a good view as you will only get a small (and obstructed) view of the lake. It’s also important to note that you will hear everything! The walls are extremely thin making it hard to sleep at night. We could hear people talking in the hallways and in the rooms next to ours. The hotel management also decided to remodel only the lobby area and select rooms for the photos online, making the hotel look better than it actually is in real life. Overall, This hotel is not up to the Sheraton brand standard (with the exception of the service), but I would stay here again if the price is right.

We wanted to like this hotel and we had an OK stay, but I wish it got renovated. Staff are super kind and nice, breakfast for Elites is very good, pool and spa area is fantastic. However, the rooms are quite dated, we received an upgrade to a two room apartment, which was like two rooms put together. Rooms are VERY old, we had some ants in our room and lots of odd mechanical noises that did not allow a very good sleep. We were there in the low season, so did not understand why we couldn't have the top room (1202) instead of 1102 and hear all the noises from above. I would stay here again, just based on my Marriott status but I hope they renovate the hotel soon. Lobby renovation was magnificent, it is very comfortable, classy and beautiful. Patricia at the breakfast room remembered my name every morning and knew what coffee I wanted!
