Great location as can walk to most places of interest: casa rosada and main square 5mins, san telmo market etc 15 mins, puerto madero 10 mins ( had a beautiful steak at 'Villegas'), teatro colon 30 mins, recoleta cemetery 45-60 mins. Several tango shows in the street that runs parallel behind. We really enjoyed 'Aljibe'. We felt quite safe walking back about 10.30pm. The hotel is very clean and provides everything you need, even a covered swimming pool. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, huge comfy beds. We asked for a quiet room so were at the back, no view but lovely sleep. Breakfast was adequate more sweet than savoury, more cold than hot - even the eggs! Overall we were very satisfied and would recommend. Warning: Dont be tempted to change money with the people hanging around on Florida St

“Funky San Telmo District”

Situated close to the city centre in the funky San Telmo district with a comfortable room, a good selection at the buffet breakfast and helpful staff, this is a good place to explore some of the less touristy parts of Buenos Aires. Don't forget to say good morning to the little red guy in reception

My family and I were booked into this hotel by Exoticca (travel company) as part of a tour of South America. Pros: staff at the reception and restaurant are friendly and helpful. Our room is large and the beds are comfortable. The memory-foam pillows are fairly comfy, but are a bit hard, so it would be nice to have a couple of softer options as well. The air conditioner works well and is not overly noisy. Shower pressure is good and there is enough hot water for our family of 3 to shower one after the other. Our dinner in the hotel restaurant (on our first night) was tasty and good value for money, as was the breakfast buffet the following morning. The gym and pool are nice. Cons: the bathroom needs to be repaired: the grouting and caulking around the bathtub and shower is cracked and peeling and has mold on it. The room has a kettle with cups and herbal teabags but no coffee sachets. We asked the receptionist if we could have some coffee sachets for the room, and she told us we would have to pay for them (which we thought was outrageous, considering this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel). When we first arrived in our room there was only one bath towel and one hand towel in the bathroom, even though we are a family of three. So I called reception and asked for 2 bath towels to be sent up, but they only sent up one. After explaining (again) that there were 3 of us in the room, they finally sent up the extra (third) bath towel. Again, not what one expects from a 3-4 star hotel. We also asked for a breakfast “to-go-bag” to take with us on an early-morning tour that was leaving the hotel at 6:30 AM (before the hotel’s breakfast buffet opened), and the front desk said they were unable to organize anything like that (despite the fact that breakfast was included in our room rate). Again, not what one expects from a 3-4 star hotel. Overall this hotel is a pleasant place to stay, and it is in a good location, but it needs to improve on some things in order to properly reflect its 4 star status.
