We had a great three night stay as our base for a tour of the Iguazu Falls. The hotel is more of a resort than a traditional hotel and it has fantastic swimming facilities. There is a snack bar menu by the pool and a good restaurant although breakfast is a bit manic first thing in the morning before guests leave for their tours. The room we stayed in was perfect and the staff were on the whole very helpful. It is unlikely we would return to the Falls but would definitely return to the hotel if we did.

“Best choice for quiet location in Iguaza”

Perfecto! Welcomed by kind staff and shown to our clean and tastefully decorated suite! We loved the space, balcony with view of jungle and small waterfall. Perfecto! Welcomed by kind staff and shown to our clean and tastefully decorated suite! We loved the space, balcony with view of jungle and small waterfall. The birds were abundant to watch morning and night. The pool area spacious and quite empty. 2 bars with food and drinks at the pool. Ping pong and foosball for kids and young of heart. Breakfast included with breads, pastries, cheese, meats, veges and eggs. Dinner excellent! Easy picturesque walk to town.

I have a mixed opinion about the hotel. The room was beautiful. The view is beautiful. This would be a great hotel for the warmer months. The pools look beautiful. That is not why we came. We came to visit the Falls during the winter months. I was not expecting to use the pools so again, the pool did not affect my visit. The property is under some construction. It did not affect us because we were gone all day during the day. If you’re planning on coming soon, I would make sure it is not going to be an inconvenience for you. I would imagine if you’re at the hotel during the day it would be noisy. I also do not know how good this hotel would be to somebody who has any mobility issues. Although someone took us in a golf cart to our room upon arrival when we finally did check in at night, we walked back-and-forth along the cobblestone road when we went to breakfast and for our tour the following morning. Make sure you bring a raincoat and an umbrella because the only way to get to the dining room, front desk or breakfast buffet is to walk outside along the cobblestone. If you’re not prepared, you could get very wet heading out for the day. The hotel was helpful in organizing transportation from the airport. I appreciated the email responses I received from the hotel prior to our stay. My mixed views are because of the experience with the staff at the hotel. Although nobody was unkind in anyway, it felt uncomfortable when we checked in and out. We had been to two other hotels in Chile and Argentina, and when we arrived early, our rooms were ready and we were able to check in early with no problem. Upon arrival from Buenos Aires to Iguazú Jungle hotel, we arrived at 11:00, three hours prior to check-in. We were told it would cost $10 a person to check into the room so we opted to just have our luggage stowed at the front desk. I obviously am well aware of the check-in policy, but I haven’t been to a hotel that has not been able to let us into room early in a very, very long time. For me it just seemed like an unnecessary charge considering the hotel was not very busy when we checked in and I’m pretty sure the room was ready, but I do understand the policy so, whatever. The breakfast that was included with the hotel in was very good. Again the staff just did not seem to be very friendly. Upon checking out, we were asked if we had anything from the mini bar. We said we had not. Then we were told we needed to wait until the front desk radioed somebody to go check the bedroom to make sure we didn’t take anything. This was probably the weirdest and most uncomfortable part of the stay. In all my travels around the world I’ve never had somebody go check a room. That’s why they’ve got your credit card on file. Definitely not a dealbreaker for the hotel. But just be aware of that process. Overall, I think it’s fine to choose this hotel.

“Fix your air conditioners your clients don't enjoy sweating in their hotel rooms. Also lots of mosquitoes in the room bring inse”

Sadly this could be a great hotel if they didn't cut corners everywhere. The air conditioner in my room barely works and I've murdered about 50 mosquitoes in my room so far. What kind of a four-star hotel puts one bottle of water in a room for their customers when you know you can't drink the water… more

They cut corners everywhere sadly this could be a great Hotel if they bother to fix the air conditioner maybe it needs coolant and they're too cheap to put it in. The room temperature is barely inhabitable. I'm staying here for a week so tomorrow I will go out and buy some heavy duty insect repellent cuz the last thing I want on my vacation is malaria. The room is actually very nice but I have to keep the windows covered overlooking a beautiful balcony because the air conditioner just barely works. Sad because this hotel can be something if management was competent or not ambivalent about the quality of hotel room they are giving their customers. When I got into the room it was 26.5 c but it was very hot outside and after 4 hours of letting the air conditioner run and turning off all the lights it's only 23.5 Celsius which would be hotter than the standard temperature inside my house. There will be no sleeping with covers even with the fan on the room is only slightly comfortable. Whatever you do don't get the sweets because they smell like mold I looked at them before when I was here in November but my air conditioner actually worked then. I would not stay here again the Doubletree in Brazil in Iguazu was 200% better. This hotel is so cheap they don't even print out menus so if you opt not to take your cell phone with you to the bar there's no menu. The basic thing they could do is present one menu and then put it on permanent display so that you can see what the cost of drinks and food were. The jacuzzi is out of commission and has been out of commission for God knows how long but they don't actually have one because it doesn't work. The swimming pool is totally fantastic and the highlight of this Resort. They give you complimentary drink of some cheesy orange juice passion fruit juice combo cuz they're too cheap to give you a complimentary wine or beer they just cut corners everywhere in it is abundantly clear that this hotel runs on the bottom line policy. I would stay here again if they bother to fix the air conditioner but with the condition that it's in as far as the temperature there's just no justification for returning. Sadly this is my second time at this hotel and I thought it it had the possibility of being a phenomenal Resort.
