Our room was ample with a big bathroom separated from the toilet room. Staff attentive, although some times gave us wrong indications. But we forgive them every thing. We left some personal care items in the room. We called them from Mendoza and the next day they sent every thing to us by courier. … more

Our room was ample with a big bathroom separated from the toilet room. Staff attentive, although some times gave us wrong indications. But we forgive them every thing. We left some personal care items in the room. We called them from Mendoza and the next day they sent every thing to us by courier. This is a remarkably good service for Latin-American standards and we appreciate this very much. Breakfast did not have true orange juice and the coffee was allways oxydized.

We initially only reserved one night's stay here due to mixed Tripadvisor reviews but on arrival we were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel looks recently refurbished and is very modern and bright inside with friendly staff. The rooms are small but fine for a few days when busy exploring the city. We stayed in the hotel for two further nights due to its very central location (yet quiet the minute you step inside), clean rooms, good bathroom facilities and good buffet breakfast (croissants, pastries, bread, coffee, tea and orange juice).

“Super clean & basic 2* hotel”

What I was looking for: Landed in San Juan at 10pm and was simply looking for a clear and comfy hotel prior a 7am wake-up call, without investing too much on this quick stop in the city and help me spluge in a 5* hotel at our highlight (Barreal). This hotel definitely fit the bill! Amenities & Comfort: With very simple yet proper service, it seems as if the hotel just went under some renovations, with freshly painted walls and brand new towels (they got their first use with us!). The room was huge, with a walk-in closet, big bathroom and high ceilings.... the bed was a little hard for my taste and located right next to the kitchen, which was only inconvenient because there were 20 ladies were talking at their 5am breakfast. Breakfast was super basic (tea, coffee, milk, crackers, marmalade and butter). Friendly staff, with a punctual wake-up call and little English spoken. Location: This hotel is located a walking distance (two blocks) from one of the main plazas and near great restaurants such as Remolacha and DeSanchez. I'm a foodie so this is key for me!

We arrived on our motorcycles and decided to go no further and stay in San Juan. We found this hotel in the centre of town. Staff very helpful, especially as we did not speak Spanish. Room had air-conditioning that worked very well and everything we needed for one night. The only drawback was the breakfast if you don't like sweet food first thing in the morning. Plenty of croissants, danish pastries, sweet rolls, jam etc. No cereal or plain bread. Watch out you don't wet the toilet paper when you have a shower.
