It offers, as expected, american style hospitality with all this entails, so it is a very good place to stay at in Rosario. But ourstanding, very seldom seen, is the cheerful and friendly attitude of all staff, in all services. It really makes a difference on the stay. Check in, valet parking, bell boys, all go out of their way to affer a smile and cater to your needs. At breakfast, or tea in the afternoon, or a drink and talks before dinner, staff makes you feel welcome, with ever a frendly smile and attentive about anything you may need. Worth visiting just for the experience. BUT, be aware that TV entertainment is only in spanish, so no chance of movies or news. I mentioned this to management, so it may be corrected in the future.

I cannot in good faith recommend this hotel. As far as I can tell, it seems to be the most expensive hotel in the city/area (by far), costing as much as a 4- or even 5-star hotel in Western Europe. However, aside from the name/branding and the building (which is modern but also modest), what you get in return is closer to what you would get at a local 3-star hotel. First of all, the price: 258,940 ARS (188 USD as of this writing) is downright obscene for Argentina, let alone Rosario. For reference, this is 2.5 times what a local hotel of similar quality costs in this town/area. Then, there's the rooms: For this price, one would expect a premium experience, but the room they put me at first in had a terrible sweat-like odor, and the TV didn't work. The second room had a minifridge that started leaking water once I first opened. The Wi-Fi: it only goes up to 20-25 Mbps, which is below the absolute bare minimum of 100 Mbps that every household has, and isn't enough to stream video or work remotely. Also, the welcome brochure they give you is photocopied, so the Wi-Fi password is illegible - you have to ask the concierge for it if you want to decipher it. The staff: I must have gone to the Front Desk a total of 6 times or so, and only once there was someone standing by. Every other time it was completely unattended, and there wasn't a bell to call someone nearby. The breakfast: There might have been a total of 20-25 items in total, which is far below the 50-60 options you usually get at hotels of this price/category. The orange juice said "exprimido" (pressed), but it was clearly made out of artificial concentrated powder. The coffee was extremely weak and resembled tea more than anything. Don't expect to find a machine to make you a fresh cup either. Want a snack delivered to your room? That's 8000 ARS (6 USD) extra (the hotel is quite small and only has three floors, including the ground floor). In short, if I had to summarize my experience, I'd say this is a hotel pretending to be in Europe and charging European prices, while running at standard Argentinean quality (or below average if I'm honest). Unless your employer is paying for it, I'd recommend avoiding it and find something cheaper - your experience will be equal or better, and you'll save half your money. * PS: I would like to give a shoutout to staff member Claudio, who was extremely helpful and allowed me to use a separate Wi-Fi network and lent me a conference room for 30 minutes free of charge. Here's hoping he gets a promotion and/or raise soon enough.

The Howard Johnson hotel in Rosario is unfortunately not of the usual (high) standard you expect of this hotel chain. The hotel is in a good location in the centre of Rosario, however the place looks quite dated and is in places poorly maintained. The lifts look ancient and the rooms shows signs of poor maintenance. Flaking paint, scuffed finishes and a shower tap handle that fell off, to name a few details. The staff was helpful but some did not speak English at all which is an unpleasant surprise in an international hotel chain when you are a traveller with limited Spanish skills. Overall, a good location but rather poor value for money and this is the only Howard Johnson hotel I have encountered sofar that I won't be going back to.
