“An AMAZING experience”

What an amazing experience. The accommodations were superb and very comfortable and clean. Our guides Jacob and Lyndsay were very friendly, accommodating, and informative. This lodge should be on anyone's list who comes to Australia and wants to see wildlife with comfort.

It was better than expected - so good spending a night in the zoo , dusk and sunrise guides of the zoo with really educated zoo keepers . Lovely dinner and breakfast at the restaurant . Zoofari Lodge - Cheetah Absolutely Stunning view from accommodation! If you’re going to stay there this is the BEST option, especially when travelling from a distance. Dinner and breakfast were inclusive of our stay as well as exclusive behind the scenes access to my favourite gentle giant the elephant 🐘 Being a spectator to a morning bath/hygiene routine was worth more than anything else in the world. We had an absolutely OUTSTANDING tour guide named Jacob whom we hope to see again on our next visit. He was absolutely professional, welcoming, informative, approachable, caring, respectful, knowledgeable and incredibly empathetic 💯 Also a huge thanks to BOTH of the Gary’s and all the other keepers within the Elephant enclosures & Sumatran tiger enclosures. ALL staff at Taronga Zoo Dubbo did an incredible job during our stay. We feel beyond grateful, blessed and privileged to have those experiences forever in our memories and hearts 🙏🙏🙏🦒🐘🐅🦏🦁 Thank you to all at Taronga Dubbo Zoo who contribute to such an amazing project, always promoting conservation, health and safety to all animals!!! “Wheelchair Accessibility”

Stayed in the Meekat 'tent', which is the accessible suite. While the room was OK in the evening, it was freezing in the morning despite the aircon on flat-out. Stayed in the Meekat 'tent', which is the accessible suite. While the room was OK in the evening, it was freezing in the morning despite the aircon on flat-out. The view from the room/bed was fantastic, seeing the rhinos, giraffes, etc wander past. As we've stayed at other Australian zoos, we compared cost, food, accommodation with similar zoo-stay experiences. The room was quiet (except for the animal noises) and presentation of the tent, while somewhat dated, was clean and presentable. It was disappointed that in-room signage for the accessible room was too high, some of the items were out-of-reach for a wheelchair user (tea & coffee, soap) and the shower didn't have a mixer tap. There was no offer of assistance with luggage, despite some distance between the car park and tents. The tours have a vehicle with a wheelchair hoist. The hoist should be good for most power wheelchairs. The dining room is spacious. Interaction with the animals was far lower than at other zoo-stays. The rush of tours and dining (breakfast and dinner) meant that little time was spent enjoying your room and its view. We stay in winter, so shorter days exacerbated this limitation.
