“Go-to lodging in the Blue Mountains”
Wonderful place to stay while exploring the Blue Mountains! The staff are friendly and welcoming. YHA Katoomba is a gem, it’s massive. It has a huge ballroom that doubles as a movie theatre in the evenings and a seperate large dining room, There’s a beautiful courtyard with a fountain with Koi fish swimming around, a lovely garden with outdoor seating, and spacious rooms. “Somewhat run-down”
Its a fine line between 'cosy' and 'run down' and this place sadly felt more the latter. The rooms were basic if not a bit damp/musty.
