“Worth it +++”

Brilliant, clean, excellent views on water front, convenient to shops, comfortable room with nice extra touches and good service. So relaxing, wish we had more time here. Be back next year for our annual trip, but will definitely stay longer. Thanks so much 🌻 Dawn

“Clean and comfortable in good location”

The rooms are small and dated but it has good amenities and is clean. Good location close to the club and pub. Definitely get the lake view rooms which have a good aspect overlooking the water and gardens. They are also much quieter with the front rooms getting a lot of traffic noise.

We arrived at 1.30pm after a long drive and were able to check in. We chose the waterfront rooms, and they're worth the extra money. We arrived at 1.30pm after a long drive and were able to check in. We chose the waterfront rooms, and they're worth the extra money. It was a very hot day and the sun was very strong at the front of the motel, facing the road. The area at the back had a great breeze, was in the shade, so we spent the afternoon sitting on the chairs, admiring the lake view with ducks and reading. The motel is 1960's, and has had a lot of renovations. Our room #8 I think, was very small with an old and noisy aircon which we didn't use, making use of the excellent new fan instead. 4 rooms have new aircon as of this date. The on off switch was low, but unless you're very tall, you need to climb on a chair to make temperature adjustments. Upon mentioning this to staff, they said they're happy to do it for guests. There's a great bench for breakfast overlooking the lake. I took some glorious early morning photos. New vanity, but rest of bathroom not done. Excellent lighting, very clean, super comfortable bed and pillows. Cute kettle, espresso machine, fair trade tea, biscuits, herbology bathroom amenities. A great motel, great staff, and would stay again in the waterview rooms.

This is a cute little motel right on the highway. Rooms are small but clean and adequate, including a fridge and microwave. Shops, cafes, and restaurants are right across the road, but because it's such a busy road you may need to walk up to the stoplights to cross. I paid a bit extra for a water view room, but parking for the room next door was right in front of the window, so it was more like car view room. But it was still worth it, as it put me furthest from the highway. I didn't see any staff, but didn't mind as a key and instructions were left for me. Seating by the water is provided, which is lovely. Good value for money.
