Botanik is just amazing for us. We stayed 9 nights in a 2bedroom and 2bathroom apartment which is gloriously huge. Very inexpensive and best of all it is all white and black and well-equipped for a holiday stay. It is in Surry Hills along Elizabeth Street and everything is so convenient - walk to Central Station and both tram and bus stops are within walking distance to to take you to almost every place of interest like Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Opera House, Queen Victoria Building, Chinatown, markets and even to Bondi Junction, Bondi Beach, Brontë Beach and Bath, and more. Trust me, you would rather stay in Surry Hills in this exceptionally tasty apartment than in a hotel room in CBD location.

“Fantastic appartment”

We stayed at the Botanic for 21 nights can highly recomend everything you require is provided spacious lovely bed and pillows ,spotless the cleaners do a great job,Ideal for transport eating places and takeaways nearby well done Botanic for a wonderful stay .

“Not suitable for allergy-prone guests”

We rented a 2bdrm unit in March 2026, located on the 5th floor. The apartment itself was acceptable, though somewhat rundown and in need of upkeep. We rented a 2bdrm unit in March 2026, located on the 5th floor. The apartment itself was acceptable, though somewhat rundown and in need of upkeep. The bedrooms were quite dark due to very small windows and insufficient lighting. I personally found the mattresses far too soft, likely due to their age and lacking proper support. After staying for a week, my back became quite sore. The worst issue was the carpet in the lounge area. It was extremely old and shed a significant amount of lint and fluff. This spread quickly throughout the entire apartment, ending up on furniture, clothes, and in beds. Unfortunately, no vacuum cleaner was provided, making it difficult to manage, especially for anyone with allergies. The listing stated that guests staying longer than a week would receive a complimentary cleaning service, scheduled approximately halfway through the stay (around days 4–5). We booked for 8 nights but did not receive any cleaning at all, which was very disappointing, especially given the carpet issue. Instead, a paid cleaning service was advertised, which did not seem fair. Additionally, the initial supply of shower gels, shampoos and dishwasher tablets only lasted a few days and was not replenished during our stay. Overall, the apartment is okay but the lack of cleaning and maintenance is a significant drawback. I would not recommend staying here. A hotel would likely be a better option, as you can at least expect regular cleaning and fresh bedding.
