I stayed here for one night between flights. It is a bit confusing on arrival as the reception is actually on the top floor, but aside from that the checkin experience was seamless. The room was a good size, the bed very comfortable. It has a rainfall shower with good pressure and hot water. My only negative on this is there is no glass in the room and I had to use a cup for water. One of the best things of the hotel is how quiet it is. They seem to have soft close doors so you do not hear banging of hotel doors like some of the other airport hotels. I also did not hear any corridor noise which I have experienced in other airport hotels. Like most of the airport hotels in Sydney, breakfast starts very late at 06:30. I truly think all airport hotels breakfast should start at least at 05:00. This is not a criticism of this hotel in specific, but rather all the airport hotels in Sydney. I would highly recommend this hotel, and for the fitter people without too much luggage, it is actually walkable from the domestic terminal.

Citadines Connect Sydney Airport is well located approximately 10 minutes by foot from the Sydney Domestic Terminal. Its convenience to the airport makes it ideal as a nightly layover option between flights, or a comfortable stop pre/post a scheduled flight. I have stayed at this property on a few occasions previously, but also often choose to stay at a neighbouring property. My stays at Citadines Connect Sydney Airport have each been comfortable, and is always toward the top of the list of hotels I look to stay at when transiting via Sydney. I have reviewed this property previously and, simply put, what I have said prior still stands. I do note that soundproofing is minimal at this particular property, but what is an airport stay without a little noise, right? The panoramic penthouse floor which houses reception, the convenient “grab and go” market and the top-floor bar set it apart from other properties. It’s a unique feature (perhaps also a slightly confusing one for newcomers), but it welcomes guests with a scenic outlook overlooking the airport. I’ve never been to another hotel where I’ve ventured to the penthouse floor to check in, but it really does take full advantage of that airport view. The rooms are comfortable and adequately furnished with all of the necessities. The decoration and colour scheme provides for a less “clinical” atmosphere common to most hotels. Due to the limited time I had between flights, I did not get to take advantage of the gym this time. From memory, the gym was reasonably well equipped given the small size of the space, however lacked any significant strength training equipment such as cable machines, and apart from some weighted barbells and hex dumbbells, it was mainly cardio-equipped. Ultimately, the bed was comfortable, and the property offered value for money. Having stayed in a “Business Class” Room this particular stay, the room was larger than their economy counterpart, and features a corner window with great views of the airport. The only minor, knit-picking feedback I have were that the air conditioning was master controlled and locked to heat (I cannot sleep with heat on), and I had no option to turn on a fan-only mode. The tiles in the bathroom also creaked (sorry to my under-neighbours at 4am in the morning if you heard), and the tile immediately below the shower head had water trapped below it you could hear slosh about when you stepped on it (in a completely dry shower - before use). The USB charging ports either side of the bed also did not work. All things considered, these are very minor in the grand scheme of things, and I managed a comfortable stay for my one night. I do also have a further upcoming stay booked, also in a business class room. I’m sure it will be equally as comfortable (and this time, I will have the opportunity to make use of the amenities in full).

This was a pretty comfortable room (318) with a large soft, comfortable bed and bedding, great tea, excellent shower and tv with watchable channels so looking into apps wasn’t necessary for us. I’m kicking myself for not recalling the gentleman that welcomed and. He led us in (starts with A, maybe four letters and Nepalese) His service and welcome was top class and authentic. The only reason I didn’t give a five was due to the cleanliness of the room and the late arrival of breakfast. We are not that precious but had an early flight to catch and it was nearly 10 mins late. Our early checkin was also very much appreciated after a long flight.
