We had a wonderful family stay here this past May booked through Virtuoso. The property guaranteed us connecting rooms well in advance, which is incredibly helpful when traveling with young kids. The rooms were bright, clean, and modern. Every service touchpoint was smooth. Arranging the airport transfers was easy and competitively priced, and checking into our room directly upon arrival was a great touch. Both the restaurant breakfast and the in-room dining were excellent, and housekeeping was consistently thorough. A very reliable choice for families.

Visited for a city break/professional obligations where I needed to be able to relax and get away from usual home stresses. Well positioned property, clearly benefiting from its prime location. Rooms are lovely and supremely comfortable - I stayed in a Deluxe room for 3 nights with additional club access. House keeping was great - always had a spotless room with extra turndown service, and ice buckets left for the juice I’d left out! Plenty of in room amenities. Lounge 32 was outstanding - nothing was too much bother for the staff. They remembered my name and room after my first arrival, and preferred seat. They asked why I was staying, and tailored offers of coffee etc around my schedule. They were even happy to give me an extra coffee to go (something I haven’t experienced in any other club lounge where they’re usually fairly militant at insisting everything is eaten/drunk in the lounge). Also utilised the (now closed) Endota spa on site - this was exactly as you’d expect for an Endota, although quite cramped and entry shared with the gym facilities, so while waiting for my treatment I was joined by various interesting characters. The Endota at the rocks is still available, and is a much more relaxing time. The only issue I had was at checkout when it transpired that when staff had processed an alteration to my booking (adding on a service) this resulted in my nightly room rate being increased. This was handled by the duty manager and refunded, however this seems like a system based error that needs to be addressed so others aren’t affected.

Just a very average hotel, which was really disappointing considering this is supposed to be a five-star property. The photos used to advertise the rooms were quite misleading. We were excited about the room we booked, only to arrive and find a much smaller room that looked nothing like what we expected. I understand that photos can vary, but they should at least be representative of the room category being sold. The service was also average and didn’t reflect the level of hospitality you’d expect from a luxury hotel. For the price we paid per night, the experience simply wasn’t worth it. Given the Four Seasons reputation, I expected more. Overall it was a very underwhelming stay.

Disappointing.. We usually stay at The Fullerton in Sydney and we can’t fault that hotel! Sadly we left our booking too late and The Fullerton were full so we stayed at The Four Seasons further down George street. It is rated the same 5 star do we thought it would be similar, no it’s not. Upon arrival it’s near impossible to get from the front door to the check in desk with being accosted by the door men/bell hops wanting to take your bags. Clearly they could see we were able to manage the small carryon bag ourselves, but we were asked by four different people if they could take our bag ( obviously looking for a tip) Upon checkin we headed to our room and noticed it was small, very stuffy and very close to the room next door. There were stains on the carpet, which had us wondering what they were, but after heading back to the lift to check out Sydney we shared the lift with a fog and its owner, we then were wondering if the stains were from dogs? We would never have booked this hotel had we known people bring their dogs. The location is good, a few metres from circular quay. We returned to our room later that evening after walking 25kms wanting a shower and rest but sadly the open air nightclub across the street doesn’t finish until 1am so the loud thumping music is something you have to listen to until they finish, not ideal at all. The hotel foyer was very strange as people were using the waiting area to eat their meals which really stunk out the reception area. It wasn’t a 5 star hotel, more like a 3 star. We won’t be staying there again unfortunately.
