Due to various family commitments, I stayed at the Meriton Chatswood three different times in December 2025. (I don’t live in the Sydney Metropolitan area). On the first occasion, it was very last minute but I was thankfully able to walk in to the hotel with in 10 minutes of me having made the booking online. On the first occasion, it was too late for me to go home and I was absolutely exhausted. The staff were so kind and welcoming and could see I was a bit stressed out. I am familiar with the Meriton brand as I have stayed at the Bondi Junction premises for many years when I’m in Sydney. Meriton Chatswood is located on the Pacific Highway side of the Chatswood Interchange and is extremely handy to everything that Chatswood has to offer, in terms of places to dine, places to shop and in my case, because I rely on public transport, it is a great central position for me to get around Sydney to visit my elderly parents on the lower North Shore and to visit my children in the eastern suburbs. On my second visit in December, I stayed on level 4, which is where the pool and spa are located. I think that some people don’t like to be close to such facilities because of a propensity for noise. There was no such problem at all, and in fact, it suited me perfectly because I could just dash down the hall for a swim and a spa. The apartments feature everything that I have come to expect from Meriton. They are spacious, clean and quiet. The beds are comfortable. But the main thing for me is that there is a level of familiarity; I know what to expect. The location is second to none and pricing is always excellent. …..and I shall be returning twice in February!

“lack of cleanliness”

The room is not very clean: lots of dust on the table, floor, and dirty dishes. The comforter is not put in a cover. The room is not very clean: lots of dust on the table, floor, and dirty dishes. The comforter is not put in a cover. It is placed between two loose sheets, which makes us question whether it is properly washed, because the sheets come off during the night. Terrible. I also stayed at the Meriton in Surfers Paradise and the same thing happened. Unacceptable for a hotel that calls itself 5 stars. I saw many complaints in this regard on "TripAdvisor," so it's not an isolated complaint. A shame. They should invest in more employees and train them better. I do not intend to stay at this hotel again.

Great but some frustrating flaws. The view from the suite was absolutely fantastic and one of the highlights of the stay. It really made the space feel special and added a lot to the overall ambiance. However, several issues unfortunately brought the experience down. First and most frustrating was that the coffee machine didn’t work. For a serviced suite at this level, that’s a basic amenity that should be functioning—especially when it’s part of the appeal of staying somewhere more premium. The shower was also a problem. While the water pressure was fantastic—probably one of the best I’ve experienced in a hotel—the design or drainage must’ve been off. No matter how careful I was, the shower kept flooding the bathroom floor. I ended up having to use one of the only 2 room towels just to clean up the mess, which is not ideal. I was also looking forward to using the sauna, but there was no bucket provided to pour water over the steamer. As a result, I had to skip it altogether. That was genuinely disappointing and seemed like a simple but important thing to overlook. The pool itself was great, but the surrounding floor was dangerously slippery. There were puddles of water everywhere and only a few wet floor signs scattered around. It felt more like a box-ticking exercise than actual care for guest safety. Someone should be actively mopping the area, especially when it gets that wet. Overall, while the room had its strong points—particularly the view and the excellent shower pressure and bed —there were enough maintenance and service oversights to leave me frustrated and disappointed.
