Had an exceptional experience at the THE TERNARY! As a solo diner, I felt completely looked after from start to finish. The kitchen team, led by Head Chef Robin alongside Shivonne and Irene, are clearly at the top of their game, every bite was flawless. Shivonne turned what could have been a quiet solo dinner into a genuinely warm, 'at-home' experience. Her attentive care and perfectly timed check-ins made me feel completely looked after, but it was that first bite that truly did it—it tasted so nostalgic and comforting, it instantly transported me back home. A big thank you to Chef Robin, every dish of his was bursting with flavor, Samantha for topping off my evening with a truly lovely dessert, and Caleb for managing and providing exceptional hospitality that made my solo dinner feel so special. They truly made me feel at home. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great meal and a friendly atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend! 🥰

“Wonderful location, exceptional staff, rooms could do with some work”

Pros: location is excellent. Very near everything you’d want to see in Sydney. Easily walkable everywhere but all transport is also a stones throw from the hotel. Staff were great, they were friendly, approachable, polite and accommodating. The young guys behind the bar were exceptional The restaurant was amazing. Cons: the rooms really let this place down. If they were fixed up or cleaned then it would transform the experience from adequate to excellent. The rooms themselves are dark and dingy, painted dark colours with very poor lighting. They are also in need of refurbishment. They look like they stepped out of a 90s catalogue, mushroom wall colour, blue carpet. But more than anything they are filthy! Outdated rooms that are clean are manageable but this was one of the dirtiest I’d seen. Someone had obviously opened a dizzy bottle at some stage and the fizz had gone on the ceiling above our bed. That had then been there so long it had gone mouldy. There was black mould around the bath everywhere. The bathroom floors were so dirty around the edges as was the carpet that I couldn’t take my shoes off while in the room. The other smaller issues was that we had 3 in the room and only 2 cups etc. it’s such a shame as this was an exceptionally good holiday in every other way. If only the rooms were cleaned properly I’d give them excellent. fYi: rooms only have bathtubs and shower over so beware if you’d struggle to get in and out. You can ask for a walk in shower and if they have a disabled room available they can give you it but it is overkill to take a disabled room. There are plug sockets (only 2) but no usb ports you’ll need to take your own There is no work area in the rooms if you are a business guest.

“Decent enough”

For the price of what’s around darling harbour id say it does enough. I only needed a place to stay to recover after a big Thursday night over Easter and it did the trick.
