Great hotel. Amazing location, not far from Town Hall Station, the tram and an easy walk to Darling Harbour and Chinatown. Stylish decor and interior, like all QT hotels. Room spacious and bed was super comfy. Seperate toilet and shower with frosted glass doors - fine for us but might be awkward for siblings or friends staying in the same room. T2 tea and Nespresso pod coffee machine in room with fridge. Some reviews mentioned cleanliness needed attention and while I don’t feel uncomfortable or ‘dirty’, I noticed things like light fixtures needed dusting and bathroom blind had marks and needed a wipe down. Lighting in room is dark and moody which adds to the vibe but made visibility in the wardrobe hard, resulting in a bag holder tumbling out. Hotel spread across two old art deco buildings so to get to the lobby I had to go through Parlour restaurant up the lift, then from the lobby up stairs to get another lift to my room. Might be challenging for older folk or those with limited mobility, although staff offered to carry our bags. Overnight parking per night was $49 in the Citigroup Centre at 271 Pitt Street. Expensive, but that’s Sydney for you! Other city hotels were charging closer to $60 per night. This car park was difficult to find and although staff gave me verbal directions, a printed map with photos would have been helpful, as when I called in the car to confirm I was in the right place, they didn’t answer the phone. Would I stay again? Absolutely, it had a cool modern vibe that links to the building’s former 20th century life, and was enjoyable stay, just feel for the price, a bit more attention to service and cleaning is needed, then it’ll be a truly 5 star experience. Parking instructions in case it’s helpful: - from the hotel entrance you’ll need to go around the block - drive down Market Street - turn left down Sussex Street - turn right on Bathurst Street - turn left on Pitt Street - entrance is Wilson Parking driveway on your left, before the Hilton Hotel sign - drive all the way down, take a ticket, park - take the lift up through The Galleries shopping centre and walk back to QT

Had a fabulous 4 night stay in a king room at qt hotel Sydney. Been to Sydney 40+ times in the last 30 years so have tried a lot of the hotels in the cbd. This hotel checked a lot of my tick boxes starting with the early check in at 10am following a very early start on a red eye flight. Got a nice quiet room 614 facing qvb building. I got a room upgrade and room was very spacious. Got a great rate that included $40 per day f&b credit that I used to get breakfast at the downstairs Parlour restaurant. Food was really decent there and helped defray costs. Sydney is a very expensive city now when eating out The hotel has an edgy feel, somewhat moody lighting. If there were one thing I thought could be improved was the very dark light levels in the room. As I said this place checked a lot of my Wishlist especially the very central location in the heart of the Sydney shopping precinct. Summarised as follows: Location 5/5 couldn’t be more central Bed 5/5 seemed new Lift speed 5/5. Never a long wait Airport transfer 5/5 Wifi 5/5 Air con 5/5 Staff 5/5 have a can do attitude Room condition 4/5 - a little knocked around Lighting 3/5 - needs a light near the full length mirror Value 5/5 Will definitely prioritise this hotel for future stays in Sydney on the back of this very enjoyable stay. Additional tips I got the airport train to st james station and the hotel is a 5 minute walk from there. Nb there are some steps in the station so take an uber if you have lots of luggage. Cost $23 The reception is on level 1 so enter where the Parlour restaurant is on street level and take the elevator up.

Location was ideal and the employees were incredibly friendly. I also have to shout out the delicious room service I enjoyed during my first night here.

“Quirky but not functional”

I think I am over quirky. The bed was great, check in was terrific but the room drove me crazy. It was so dark. Dark brown walls and bathroom. Dim lighting. I could barely see. The power points next to bed were too low and I couldn’t plus in equipment as cupboards were built in. The shower poured w… more

I think I am over quirky. The bed was great, check in was terrific but the room drove me crazy. It was so dark. Dark brown walls and bathroom. Dim lighting. I could barely see. The power points next to bed were too low and I couldn’t plus in equipment as cupboards were built in. The shower poured water everywhere and floor was saturated. There was no lighting over the bathroom mirror. It was irritating and I was ready to escape as soon as possible. I like how fun it was but was it functional? Not for me.
