A fine place from which to wander the Sydney CBD. modern yet clearly an older hotel, with large rooms and large bathrooms, all spotlessly clean and well-lit. And it comes with a glorious shower with the best water pressure we encountered anywhere in Australia. The bed is large and comfortable; robes and slippers are supplied. The hotel starts on the 9th floor, so all rooms are away from street level noise, and the hotel goes up beyond the 20th floor. The lobby is large and inviting, with a good restaurant service there; I had their wagyu cheeseburger twice. From the airport, options to get there by public transport include taking a train to St. James station and walking down Market St about four blocks to the hotel, OR, take the train to Central Station and transfer to the L3 or L2 light rail (Circular Quay direction), getting off at QVD; the hotel is about two blocks away around the corner on Market St. We made the mistake of taking the T1 train to Town Hall and got hopelessly lost. Hotel is walkable to Circular Quay, the Rocks, Hyde Park, the QVB, and other major sights and memorials. All in all, a quality experience in downtown Sydney, with fine professional and dignified service from everyone in the hotel.

I have stayed in a couple of hotels in Sydney previously, and never quite found the right one for me. But this hotel is a keeper. The location is great next to the George Street pedestrian zone shopping street, it’s only a couple of minutes walk to the St James train station to the airport and the price is acceptable for that what is offered. The hotel gives a very luxurious vibe to it. The rooms are fairly spacious with nice views, and I received a nice welcome amenity as well. Sleep comfort is really good with comfortable beds. While the bathroom is spacious, the layout is a bit odd and feels space is wasted. The design of the bathroom also feels much older than the rooms (as if the rooms were recently renovated but the bathrooms were skipped - the designs just don’t match). Overall my preferred choice for a future stay in Sydney now.

Stayed 3 nights in May 2026. Have stayed here before and have always liked this hotel. The atmosphere is great and the rooms are good size, very clean and bed is comfortable. Preventing me from giving this hotel a 5 star rating is two items - the lifts are still being refurbished and thus there are delays from time to time and the executive lounge seems to be an after thought.

The location is superb! Smacked right in the middle of the CBD district. Problem was the housekeeping service, very bad. Daily housekeeping lacks towels, robes, hotel slippers. The location is superb! Smacked right in the middle of the CBD district. Problem was the housekeeping service, very bad. Daily housekeeping lacks towels, robes, hotel slippers. There was a time I was stuck in the shower with an empty shampoo container. They probably did not check the refill. This situation happened daily, which shouldn't be happening for a hotel brand like this. They need to improve on their service. Checkin was also slow considering I am an Accor member, no special queue for it.
